Metamorphosis

Spike had always worn a costume.
When he was William, he wore the cloak of a proper Victorian gentleman. He killed his first slayer while in those garments.
The 70’s saw him wearing clothes similar to the Idol known as Billy. He killed his second slayer and took the prize that made him Spike.
He was complete for now, the leather duster he wore defining him as the Big Bad.
The third slayer he hunted was not as easy to triumph over as he had thought.
Spike would have to change costumes once again… for the slayer known as Buffy.
