Mask

A gentle sigh from a lovers touch
held away to long.
In the darkness they find a friend
as the lovers meet again.
In the light of day the hateful things
they do and say is the mask they wear
For this play as other people share it.
It keeps them unaware.
When night falls and all are gone the
lovers meet again, no words are spoken
none are needed as their bodies say it all.
