"Abby?"
Abby looked up, her chin rising off her bent knees. She smiled slightly and then rested her chin on her knees again, her arms tightening around her bent legs. "Yeah?"
"You coming inside?"
Abby shook her head slowly. "Not right now."
Gibbs sighed softly and sat down next to Abby on the worn wooden bench. "You cold?"
Abby smiled and tilted her face up to his, shrugging. "Maybe a little."
Jethro eased up against her side, wrapping an arm around her shoulders and snugging her up against his heat. "Better?" he asked quietly.
Abby nodded. "Thanks."
Jethro nodded. "Are you going to come back inside?"
"In a minute."
Silence descended and Abby listened to the crickets chirp. Closing her eyes, she sighed softly.
"What is it?" Gibbs asked, nudging her a little with his arm.
"The night, Jethro," she answered. "The night is so beautiful. I hate to waste it by sleeping."
Jethro chuckled. "So who said we have to sleep?"
