We were always the best of friends.
Always together.
We were closer than brothers.
We grew closer than most people do
in a lifetime.
Why did you leave?
Shit, what the hell am I doing?
You're fast asleep,
recovering from that meld with that psychotic probe,
and I'm standing over you
pouring my bruised heart out.
As if you cared.
<shaken breaths>
But my friend....you *do* care.
I know that.
After that incident in Sickbay....
nothing can erase that look
of love in your eyes.
The damndest thing is,
it's the love I've felt for years.
So many times I've cried
to keep it from bursting out.
I didn't want to drive you away,
but you left despite my efforts.
<very faint sobs>
There were times when...
I couldn't sleep for wanting
you so badly.
There were times when
I tried to speak
but I couldn't find the words.
Well, now I've found them.
I love you, Spock.
I love you more than life.
I only hope that...
someday....I'll be able to tell you.
