A Spark of Hope

Nobody else saw it as they were too consumed with grief to notice save but what was in their own hearts and the foot locker slowly gliding away across the pond, but she did. She saw the tail of the most handsome one there curled softly around the hoof of one of the simplest of them all, and Doris smiled sadly. The King might be gone, but there would be a new beginning for the city -- a new beginning where maybe those of her kind might be welcome. As tears fell from her eyes, hope sparked in her heart.
