Truth

Trust was something that Rogue had lost faith in. Mystique didn't teach her how to use her powers, only abused them.
Rogue had tried to trust herself to do things right on her own, but by then, she couldn't remember how.
Then she decided that she had to trust the X-Men. Rogue had to believe the team would know how to teach her to use her power, to be a hero like they were.
When Remy reached over and touched her, Rogue felt her lack of trust fading. Rogue trusted Remy with her life.
And it scared her to death.
