"Is it legal?"
Alan was accustomed to Denny's erratic turns of thought. "Is what legal, Denny?"
"Marriage. Is a marriage legal and valid if it's not consummated?"
Alan chucked. "Don't tell me that now you want to sleep with me?"
Denny gave him a pained expression. "Not our marriage."
"Then who's?"
"Shirley and Carl's."
Alan glanced down at his watch. It had been nearly eight hours since the joint weddings. "I suspect that's been taken care of by now."
"Don't be so sure." Denny grinned, holding up a vial of little blue pills. "I stole these out of Carl's briefcase."
