moonlight

Moonlight shining on the bay
water gently lapping at the shore
someone softly tapping at my door.
Time stands still, I'm never sure what
is on the other side, pain and sorrow or
laughter and love.
Moonlight shining in the window of this
lonely rroom lighting up the darken places
in it's silvery light giving in to flights of
fancy.
Time moves to slow in the moonlights
glow when waiting for a lover to show
will he come or will he pass on by.
Moonlight shining on his face brightens
up this dreary place with just a smile the
fear is replace.
Time is moving much to fast when the
gold of dawn is coming fast and the
silvery moonlight is fading into the past.
While looking at his face I know in my
heart that the gold of the day is where
he belongs but the silver moonlight is
where he longs to be always being loved
by me.
