John Glenn
John Glenn has done it again
he has gone where very few have been
he has flown through the sky,
just to find out why
They said he was too old
but John, he's real bold
and only he knew what he could do
now we all know it to be true
today is the day
when he heard us all say
YOU are the oldest man
to fly round the moon...
Now he can rest
he has out done the best
a hero, to one and all
he can stand tall
he has paved the way
for the older folk one day
to retire some where far away
like lake side up on the moon,
John, I have put these words to a tune
And as I walk out at night under the moon
I look into the moon light and I wish that I could be you
for if my chance came one day I would go, it's true
I would fly far away
I 'd love to leave today
I would love to walk on the moon
but then I am as crazy as a loon
