Life's song

Thunder rumbles, lighting stumbles
it's way across the sky as the rain
is tapping on the window pane.
Lost in meaningless thoughts will I
ever to see the sun again?
When will all be right in the world
again?
Lovers weeping, children sleeping
old ones dieing sadly sighing in to
that endless dark.
Will we every see that holy spark
and walk in that glorious park?
Or is this all a sham with just
a promise of some holy land?
Will you be there to hold my
hand or am I left to stand alone
in this house that was a home?
Alone for now, I shall not weep
for when the night is over I shall
take that finely step in to forever
and in to that great beyond will
be the finely line of my life's song.
