Texas Spring Break
by Scribe
(to the tune of 'America', by Neil Diamond, whom I LOVE)
School
I've been stuck at school
where the closest to sun
and surf is the local pool.
Break
Feel like I can't make
it through the last few weeks
to spring break.
On the road in my Dad's Capri
I'm goin' down to Galveston!
Got my thong and my fake ID.
I'm goin' down to Galveston!
My legal age is still far away,
but I'm twenty-one today
far as the bar's concerned,
far as the bar's concerned.
All along that Gulf coast shore,
they're comin' down to Galveston.
Frats and brats and teens galore
They're comin' down to Galveston.
Got a dream of what they'll find,
They're goin' down to Galveston.
Beer, and sex, and weed, and wine.
They're goin' down to Galveston.
They're goin' down to Galveston.
They're tossin' beer cans by the ton,
They're boozin' in the shinin' sun,
Got all the tourists on the run...
Par-tay! Par-tay! Par-tay! Get laid! Par-tay!
Oh, Spring Break I adore!
(Par-tay!)
Debauchery by the shore
(Get laid!)
Chastity's death
(Get laid!)
Quick, smell my breath!
(A raid!)
(Sound of sirens and whining teenage protests rise up
behind the music)

America
Written by: Neil Diamond
Far
We've been travelling far
Without a home
But not without a star
Free
Only want to be free
We huddle close
Hang on to a dream
On the boats and on the planes
They're coming to America
Never looking back again
They're coming to America
Home, don't it seem so far away
Oh, we're travelling light today
In the eye of the storm
In the eye of the storm
Home, to a new and a shiny place
Make our bed, and we'll say grace
Freedom's light burning warm
Freedom's light burning warm
Everywhere around the world
They're coming to America
Every time that flag's unfurled
They're coming to America
Got a dream to take them there
They're coming to America
Got a dream they've come to share
They're coming to America
They're coming to America
They're coming to America
They're coming to America
They're coming to America
Today, today, today, today, today
My country 'tis of thee
(Today)
Sweet land of liberty
(today)
Of thee I sing
(today)
Of thee I sing
(today)
