The little black ball of fur, which had at first seemed harmless, now stood before them with its back raised, and hissed viciously.
"I'm not touching it," Spike said, backing away.
"Baby," Xander mocked, safe behind Spike.
"Yeah? Well, I don't see you picking the little blighter up," Spike said, making sure he was between Xander and the hell spawned creature.
"I can't believe you two," Dawn said, disgusted, and moved around them.
"Whoa, Dawnie, no!" Xander tried to grab her, but Dawn was too quick for him.
"She's just scared." Dawn put down the bowl of milk. "Huh, kitty?"
