There Are Those .....Who Believe

Journeying through the naked stars, we be
A rag tag fleet surviving the whims of villainy
Forced by betrayal, our homes be necessity to flee
Needs must we seek out Earth, the 13th Colony.
Adama with wisdom will guide the fold
Protector and mentor, 'tis our warrior of old
Be it past present or future, our paragon's so bold
In his hands, our destiny the Commander doth hold.
The Colonel stands ever vigilant by his leaders side
Steadfast and loyal, radiating honour and pride
There he'll stay for all eternity to abide
Tigh's place in the natural scheme - the fates did decide.
Our Captain who exceptionally leads squadron 'Blue'
So dashing and daring, a hero worshipped by the whole crew
Full of courage and compassion but with a shard of innocence too
Apollo, the heart and soul of a Warrior, that none may misconstrue.
In the Fleet Starbuck's regarded as on of the best
For his comrades or ladies his repertoire contains many a jest
He's gaming skills and glib tongue he'll readily put to the test
But cavorting throughout the stars is what gives his life true zest.
From the beginning, for you there was naught but disdain
For they felt in your past life, from morality you refrained
Now all have seen inside your heart, misjudging you they claim
Cassiopeia, fair lady forever your honour regained.
The huntress adorned with the Silver Spa, her sign of might
Who'll take up any gauntlet, in the defense of all that is right
A lady who sees what is both in plain and hidden sight
Sheba, the guardian, shielding all on this hazardous flight.
The Daughter of greatness, often overlooked by all
But for your relentless duties you may proudly stand tall
You gave freely and tirelessly your aid they all do recall
The one called Athena stood as regal as a Queen in her hall.
