Time

Drip by drip time does slip, gently
through my finger tips, not to slow
and not to fast like looking at an
hourglass.
Grain by grain I look the same as
time marches on. It breaks my heart
as tie does part and I watch you
slowly fall apart. I held their hands
as the shifting sands of time took
them one by one. I stand alone now
that they're gone and time still marches
on.
