FarScape Night Before Christmas
by StarPaw

'Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the ship
Not a DRD was stirring, not even a blip;
The pulse rifles were hung in storage nearby
Turned on and ready to let yellow bolts fly;
The bipeds were snuggled all warm in their beds,
While visions of food cubes danced through their heads;
With Zhaan meditating, and Rygel snoring up bad weather
And Aeryn and Crichton... hibernating... together
When in the shuttle bay there arose such a clatter,
Zhaan shouted to Pilot, "See what is the matter!"
Quickly, Pilot turned on the screen,
Dreading the tragedy soon to be seen
The fiery rockets in the shuttle bay
Gave luster to the area of Pilot's display
When what to his wondering eyes should land,
But a Maurader-class sleigh, and a red- clad man!
That little intruder was so lively and slick,
Pilot immediately shouted, "Get down there, quick!"
More rapid than eagles Chiana came
While Zhaan's prancing speed was far from lame
D'Argo ran down the corridors shouting, "Invaders are here!",
While Crichton and Aeryn were slow to appear ;)
With a battle cry, booming and low,
Santa challenged the Luxon, "Ho! Ho! Ho!"
Bellowing in rage, D'Argo drew his qualta sword
Ready to see the fat man bloody and gored
But the man was too nimble; he jumped smartly aside;
Then Crichton and Aeryn finally arrived
The Peace Keeper scowled, then drew out her gun
And the red man exploded like a fiery sun!
His sinister cargo was burnt to small bits;
The loud explosion scared Rygel out of his wits
Everyone stood for a moment, their jaws hanging wide;
Then Aeryn grabbed Crichton in one long stride;
They heard her exclaim, as they walked out of sight,
"So much for that dren! Let's finish our good night!"
