You should post this story with a warning to set down any beverages...it took me a half hour to dry off my screen and keyboard to type this..I never though that coke would sting so much when it goes up the nose....In short, absolutely loved it and really needed the laugh it provided. Hilarious! Absolutely hilarious! Though I'm a huge House/Wilson-fan, I've got real difficulty locating good and realistic H/W-stories for they are few and far apart so I can understand why you'd think it's absolutely impossible for those two to be together in a serious relationship. There's so much worthless - and, what's worse, brainless - smut out there it may be hard to believe that H/W is actually possible. But it is. On rare occasions I read stories where it comes across as absolutely natural and realistic (of course, those are novel-length ffs because it takes time to lay out the reasoning behind the relationship so that when it finally comes far enough to need lube there's been enough planning going on to have thought of it beforehand).

They can get a bit silly, can't they? At least in Harry Potter quite a few of the slashed characters have some potential "bend" as written (and a few who could be Kinsey 5 or 6 with no deviation from canon or writing off of love interests as friends and/or beards), and magic allows the possibility of conjuring a lubricant. OTOH, there are irresistible amounts of seemingly conscious subtext in House canon, while HP canon is way too innocent for what the slash fans tend to write.
