This is a very heart-warming, spirit-lifting story. All House fans should read it immediately. Honestly, I'm exclusively a cat person, but this story made me want a puppy to cuddle and feed and protect. Maybe the author could replace the "races" with "breeds" of dog? It just reads easier with the more conventional noun. As it is now, this is a great story.
