Now this was really very interesting, with the post-modern bit of metafiction at the end; a refreshing idea, although wasn't there some recent movie in which the protagonist is actually a character in someone else's novel? Well, no great matter -- it's a good enough concept for two.
The only problem I had with this is that it's too long through the middle; it could use some trimming through Wilson's list of woes. You can suggest them without describing them in such loving detail, and wind up with a much tighter story that really moves along.
But, as I said, this was a nice bit of work, with imagination. I'll look for more of your stories. What is LJ?
