The Glitter Jungle:
Fiction:

Road Rage
Lex is transferring.

Lex swung the golf club again, making another large dent in the car's body.
Another swing smashed a window.

He felt great.

It wasn't about today's events; it wasn't about the ticket. It wasn't about
anger, even.

It was about Lionel.

Wasn't everything?

The cars were always a displacement. You didn't need a master's degree in
psychology to know that. But unlike what the esteemed doctors who
surrounded him when he was growing up had always thought, it wasn't about sex.

Bald freak or no bald freak, Lex could get laid, and did so often.

It wasn't about anger or control either. Not general anger and control, anyway.

It was about Lionel. Always. The cars? Big, expensive, elegant. Far too
much for a kid his age, when he started driving them. Always his own cars,
never borrowed daddy's. His own, and he drove them fast and abused them
until they all broke, or got smashed.

He did wreck other people's cars before, but it wasn't as much fun. Now he
graduated to wrecking the car of an authority figure, however minor, and he
was having a great time.

Okay, maybe it was a bit about anger and control.

He got into his car and drove, stepping on the gas pedal until the car
screeched, speeding away. He took the turns, controlling the car perfectly.
Making it do exactly what he wanted.
