Soup and Soap

Fox rose from the chair and went to the next room. She stood by the stove and her hand held a spoon in the pot that sat there. He crossed to her and spoke, "Hey, Day, when do we eat?"

She turned to look up at him and said, "Soon. Do you want tea or coke with your soup?"

"Hmmm, tea, I guess, but I'd like to have you." He grinned and took her in his arms. He clasped her to his chest and kissed the tip of her nose.

"Hey, you," she joked, "soup can burn too, you know!"

He laughed and let her go. He went to the shelves and took down a glass for each of them. He crossed to the fridge and put ice in each glass. He poured tea in his glass. Then he poured coke for her.

"Sit," she said, as her hand waved at the small bar by the far wall.

He took a glass in each hand and moved as told, then took a seat.

She pulled out two bowls and served the soup. She took his bowl to him and then took hers to the bar. She went back and took spoons from the drawer.

"This is good, Day," he said. "You can sure heat up a can of soup." He grinned at her, all small boy and cute.

She smiled back at him. "Well, Fox, I've worked hard to gain the skills I have. Soup is one of my best."

They both laughed.

Once the meal was done, they worked side by side to wash the few bowls, spoons, and the pot. He washed and she dried. When they were 'bout done, he flicked his hand at her and her shirt grew damp.

"If you keep this up," she laughed, "I may have to take my shirt off."

"Is that a threat or a vow?" he asked with a smile.

"What do you want it to be?" she said, a glint in her eye.

He dried his hands and reached for her. She came to his arms and stretched up to kiss him on the lips. He closed his eyes to feel her all the way. His hands moved on her skin. Her shirt gave way to him. She leaned on him as he stroked her back and sides.

He kissed her then, and she sighed. Her soft sigh went through him, down to his core. "Oh, Day, if this is what soup and soap do for you, I want to eat with you more."

She laughed and took his hand and they moved down the hall to her room. As she turned the lights off, she purred, "I'll heat things up for you all the time, Fox!"
