Author's notes: it is my new theory that Vulcan palmistry relies
on reading the six main lines: Hope, Housing (Home), Heart, Life,
Longevity and Logic. Spock meditates on what these six most
important things to a Vulcan means to him.

Logic has served me well in my life. It has guided my
footsteps and helped me to become who I am. I have used it
as a beacon to light my  way and I have used it as a weapon
in an attempt to keep him from becoming too close.

Yet I find no comfort in logic. In it I can not find solace.
It brings no warmth into my life and if I rely on it alone,
I shall always remain alone, no matter how long I might
live. And I do not believe I could bear that fate.
