The BLTS Archive - Busted! Telepaths by Quadrantje (quadrantje@hotmail.com) --- Published: 06-20-04 Updated: 06-20-04 Disclaimer: None of this is mine, bla bla bla, yada yada yada. I've read more than enough of these today to be bothered to write a coherent one. Paramount owns everything. I think that was about it? Alright, on to the actual story! This is just a short busted vignette. J/C are having a relationship, but they don't want to tell the crew just yet. After having read over 32 J/C fics in the past few hours, although it could be closer to 50, and it being after midnight, I'm no longer responsible for this fic. I just had to write a J/C fic too after having such an overload of them. So, I apologise in advance for the lack of plot, but this is just sillyness. --- "It was a pleasure to meet you. I'm sure our cook will be very happy with these vegetables." Captain Kathryn Janeway said to the ambassador of the Orceadian people. 'And the crew will be even happier to have something other than leola root to eat.' she silently added in her mind. "What is this leola root?" The ambassador asked. Kathryn had momentarily forgotten that the Orceadians were telepaths. "Oh I see." The woman who had so kindly given them the food they requested looked at B'Elanna and smiled briefly. "We are glad that our gift is so greatly appreciated." "Everything is better than leola root." B'Elanna murmured, which earned her another small smile from the ambassador and a silencing glare from the captain. Feeling that a change of subject was required, Chakotay jumped in. "Thank you for your hospitality, Ambassador. But we really should beam back to Voyager now." "Ah yes, I sense that your mate is anxious to get back to your ship and finish what you were doing before Lieutenant Tuvok interrupted you, Captain." Chakotay and Kathryn exchanged fearful looks, Tuvok merely lifted an eyebrow in a typical Vulcan fashion, and B'Elanna looked shocked. "Her mate?" she exclaimed as soon as she found her voice again. "The Commander," The Ambassador stated inexpressive. Seeing the stunned expression on the Chief Engineer's face and sensing the alarm for having their secret exposed to the Command Team, she hurriedly apologised for exposing their relationship. Chakotay, recovered from the shock quicker than Janeway, stated that it was okay and that they really should be going. Exchanging a few last pleasantries, the four senior officers turned around and headed for the transport room. "So Captain, what did Tuvok interrupt?" B'Elanna, finally over the shock, couldn't help but ask Kathryn once they were halfway to the transport room. Janeway didn't answer, she had no intention to tell the half-Klingon about that... --- The End
