The BLTS Archive - Holographic Fun by Quadrantje (quadrantje@hotmail.com) --- Published: 06-23-04 Updated: 06-23-04 Here's another busted fic by me. Again: J/C are having a relationship, but don't want the crew to knew yet. Disclaimer: I do not own the rights to 'Star Trek: Voyager'. No infringement of copyright is intended. Note: I think I'm getting addicted to writing these fics, they're much fun to do and I get a lot of response on them! Plus I don't have to worry about not knowing how to continue, because it doesn't continue. I just have to come up with new ideas every time, let's see how long I can keep that up. Enjoy! --- "Alright, so what's this new holodeck program that you wanted to show me, Helmboy?" B'Elanna asked as she walked into Holodeck One with Tom. "It shows what everyone likes to do the most," her husband responded. "Computer, show what makes ensign Kim the happiest." A holoimage of Harry playing his clarinet appeared. "Okay, and how about... Tuvok? Computer, show lieutenant Tuvok." The image of Harry disappeared and instead Tuvok could now be seen playing kal-toh. "Funny, I would have thought he liked to meditate the most. Well, what do you think, B'El?" "It's nice, but how do you do that?" "When you're happy you produce certain hormones, so I just programmed the computer to show us the moments when there was the most of that hormone in someone's body." "Great thinking. I guess sometimes it does pay off to have some medical expertise," B'Elanna answered with a smile. "Now, show Neelix." "Computer, present Neelix." This time Neelix could be seen, in his kitchen, cooking something that looked suspiciously much like... "Isn't that leola root? That's what he likes to do most? Cook leola root? Oh brother, we'll never convince him to cook something other than that," B'Elanna sighed unhappily. "And how about Naomi? Computer, show Naomi." A holoimage of Naomi hugging her mother appeared. "That's sweet. And the Doctor? Probably singing one of those awful operas." "B'Elanna, the Doc's a hologram, he doesn't have any hormones!" "Oh, right. Then... the Captain. That's probably drinking coffee." "Yes, she almost makes it look like a religious ceremony!" Tom grinned. "Computer, show Captain Janeway. I just hope she doesn't run out of rations again because the last time she couldn't get her coffee she-" He stopped mid-sentence as he saw the holographic image. It wasn't of the Captain drinking coffee; it was of her kissing Chakotay. "Does this also show what they would like to do?" B'Elanna asked in confusion. "No, it has to have happened for the computer to be able to read the amount of hormones. And I programmed it last week, so it has to have happened in the past week!" The Chief-Engineer and the Helmsman looked at each other in shock for a few seconds before another grin appeared on Paris' face, quickly matched by his wife's expression. "Now we'll just have to catch them and we can earn a lot of rations in the betting pool." "I heard they were having their usual 'work' dinner tonight." The only things that could be heard while the two of them ran out of the holodeck were the words 'Computer, locate Captain Janeway and Commander Chakotay.' Then the holodeck doors closed, the sound of running people died away and the holodeck was once again quiet, except for the sounds of the holographic command pair kissing, as they had forgotten to end the program. --- The End
