The BLTS Archive- Rainshower by Marleena (mooneyham123@att.net) --- Feedback: Yes, please Archiving: Yes, please. 6/99 --- The sky on the alien planet was cloudy, but the away team continued to gather the minerals they needed. Tom and B'Elanna were away from the main team as their tricorders guided them further away. The instruments were leading them to an abundant supply of dilithium. "Here," B'Elanna said as she quickly headed over to a cliff that rose high above her head. Tom followed her, then scanned the cliff with his tricorder. Sure enough, they had found a large supply of the mineral. "This should keep us running for a year, at least," Tom said, sharing B'Elanna's excitement. B'Elanna nodded, then tapped her commbadge. "Torres to Chakotay." "Chakotay here. Go ahead." "We found a cliff filled with dilitium," B'Elanna reported. "Good. Where are you?" Tom and B'Elanna looked around at their surroundings. Nothing seemed familiar. The two stared at each other, both thinking the same thing. "Um...We don't know. We followed the tricorders readings and it lead us toward a cliff face. We could have wandered a good ten minutes before that." "Stay where you are. I'll have Voyager check your coordinants-ordinates. In the mean time, get to shelter. This planet is expecting rain soon." "Understood. Torres out." Tom looked at B'Elanna. "It shouldn't take them long to find where we're at." "Well, let's get comfortable. The away team might take longer." Tom chuckled and followed B'Elanna to the cliff face where a part of the cliff hung out far enough to offer shelter from the rain. Not long after that, the two heard the clap of thunder. It made them both jump at the unexpected sound. They laughed nervously and huddled closer for warmth. Then the rain started. "Great. Chakotay won't be able to find us until this is over with," B'Elanna growled. "Just perfect." Tom laughed and B'Elanna glared at him. "What's so funny?" "A wonderful little summer shower like this and you're complaining." "What's so wonderful about it?" B'Elanna grumbled. Tom took a deep breath and let it out. "Smell that? It's the rain. It's fresh and clean and great to play in." B'Elanna rolled her eyes. "Trust you to think of goofing off at a time like this." "Come on." Tom grabbed her hand and pulled her out into the rain. "Tom!" She yelped, but soon felt the rush of water running over her like a shower. She looked over at Tom and she could see that he was enjoying himself. If there was a mud puddle anywhere around here, he would find it and jump in. She shook her head and decided to go with the flow. B'Elanna breathed in the refreshing scent of a summer shower and smiled. It felt as if she was being renewed. She ran her hands through her wet hair and began to laugh at the feel of it all. Tom watched her as she spread her hands away from her and tilted her head back. She looked radiant to him as if she was enjoying something for the first time. *Maybe she is,* Tom thought with a smile. "This is wonderful!" B'Elanna said, looking over at Tom. The two stared at each other for long moments before a thunderclap brought them back to reality. "Maybe we better find shelter," Tom suggested. B'Elanna nodded and looked where they were just at. It was muddy and didn't seem to inviting. She looked back at the pilot with a question on her face. Another clap of thunder and a flash of lightening later, the two headed into the forest behind them. It wasn't long before they found a tree with it branches draped over the grass. "This looks good enough," Tom thought as he raised some branches up to let B'Elanna enter. He then followed her inside. "It's not as wet in here, but it's still a little damp," B'Elanna informed him as she sat down with her back up against the tree. Tom sat down next to her. "So you had fun in the rain?" B'Elanna stared at him, a smile playing on her lips. "Yeah. I could see you jumping in mud puddles if you found any." Tom laughed and shook his head. "I was enjoy watching you." The two stared at each other again as the rain washed away the dirt and dust of the planet. They drew closer for warmth as they looked deeper into the other's eyes. Without warning, they began to kiss. A clap of thunder sounded outside, but they ignored it as their kiss grew into something more. Soon, they were exploring each other's mouths and bodies. Nature's show continued on as clothes were removed and sighs could be heard from underneath a curtain of leaves. Tom gently pushed B'Elanna down on the ground as he licked and kissed his way down her body. She moaned at his actions and arched her back to give him more of herself. He then worked his way back up to take his mouth with hers. She ran her hands through his wet hair as she deepened the kiss. "B'Elanna," Tom whispered into her ear as he kiss her jawline then her neck. B'Elanna growled her impatience as she titled her head back. She then surprised him by flipping him over onto his back. They stared into each other's eyes, each holding a passion the other had not seen before. B'Elanna smiled warmly as she lowered herself onto his member. The two moaned as the action was performed slowly. B'Elanna then moved her hips forward as Tom thrust up into her. The pace was slow and steady as they had all the time in the world. The sound of a rain shower had little effect on their progress. B'Elanna moaned as kept up with Tom's thrusts. Her eyes were closed and her head tilted back before she bent down and took her mouth with his. His eyes opened in surprise, but soon closed as he opened his mouth to let her tongue explore his mouth. He wrapped his arms around her, then rolled her over onto her back. He looked at her and smiled. Her dark eyes were smoldering with passion and he wasn't about to disappoint her. He thrust deep into her and she growled with approval. He felt her wrap her legs around his waist driving him deeper still. B'Elanna dug her nails into him as his pace increased. She moaned and growled and arched into him as he thrust into her. She closed her eyes and let herself be taken away. She tightened her grip on him and she smiled as he moaned her name. He could feel that she was getting closer as was he. She was driving him crazy with her growling and moaning. Her tightening around him was pushing him to nearly his limits. She cried out his name and he knew that she had tumbled over the edge. He thrust faster into her and when a clap of thunder came, so did he, crying out her name. The two lay their in each other's arms listening to the sound of rain outside their natural shelter. It was warm where they were and safe from the daily battles that was life on Voyager. "It's still raining," B'Elanna murmured as she drew closer to Tom. "Should we get dressed or lie here for a while more?" Tom kissed her dark hair and chuckled. "We have no idea how long these storms last on this planet. Maybe we should get dressed and find the away team." B'Elanna looked at him., "Just like you to spoil a mood with a splash of reality." Tom laughed at that, but soon sobered when he stared into her eyes. Of all the women he had known and been with only she could make him feel like a school boy. He looked away from her and sighed. Now what? B'Elanna watched him for a moment, trying to analyzed him as she would any problem. He looked nervous to her as if he didn't know what to say and was afraid of saying anything. She had a solution to that. "Let's get dressed and go find the away team, Tom. We'll figure everything else when we're on Voyager." Tom stared at her, but when she saw the faint glimmer of a smile in her eyes he felt better. He returned her smile with a twinkle in his blue eyes. Something told him that this was just the beginning. --- The End
