Will's eyes widened. "How--?"

A gentle smile graced her beautiful features. "I've known for a
while, Will. You're not as closed to me as you think."

"Pulling some of your mother's tricks?" he asked, smiling.

Deanna returned the smile, avoiding the question. "I would like to
dance again, if the birthday boy would have it. . . "

"Of course."

The music began once more, and movements more sensual, knowing his
counterpart was real. The final notes drifted into nothingness.

"That's exactly what I wished for." Will took her hand and led her
from the fantasy world of the holodeck.
