The BLTS Archive - Mating Rituals by ILuvKate --- "She what?" the PADD clattered to Kathryn's desktop as she listened in disbelief to Chakotay's report that Seven of Nine had attacked B'Elanna in Engineering, claiming to be the son of P'tokh, and initiated a Klingon mating ritual. That is, she had fallen upon the stunned Chief Engineer and bitten her viciously on the cheek, leaving a bleeding wound. Kathryn rose and came around her desk. "Is B'Elanna in Sickbay?" She was already heading out the ReadyRoom door and Chakotay followed. "Where's Seven?" She crossed the bridge toward the turbolift and they stepped on, the doors hissing closed behind them. "Tuvok has taken her to his office where he's erected a level 10 force-field," Chakotay answered her question. "Oh," Kathryn said drily. "She's still alive then?" He stifled a laugh. "She took B'Elanna completely by surprise." "Something that's extremely hard to do." Kathryn's voice was amused and he wondered if she was speaking from personal experience, but then knew she was. They arrived at Sickbay. "Lieutenant!" The holo-doctor's voice was as high and exasperated as Kathryn had ever heard it and she hurried toward the bio-bed where a half-Klingon in a white-hot rage was trying to boil up from it, causing the doctor no little difficulty in treating the torn, gaping tear in her cheek. "Must I sedate you?" the doctor roared. At the same time, Kathryn spoke in her crisp firm tone of command, "B'Elanna!" and the volcano that was B'Elanna Torres simmered down to a barely contained roil. Her face was flushed and sweating, and her eyes were hot pools of fury. Blood streaked her cheek and chin, and spattered the front of her uniform. She sat on the edge of the bio-bed, relatively still now, shoulders heaving as she gulped huge breaths in a largely futile attempt to calm down. As Kathryn approached the bio-bed, B'Elanna saw her. "You'd better get the brig ready now," she said. "I'm going to kill her as soon as this--" she glared at the doctor who returned it in kind, "--hologram gets through playing." The doctor, who usually did not give in to fits of anger, lowered the regenerator he'd been passing over the wound, and stepped back, giving B'Elanna a look so cold, Kathryn wondered why his programmer had inserted such a subroutine into his program. A muscle leaped in his jaw as he turned to Kathryn. "I don't have to put up with this," he said flatly. He laid the regenerator down on the bio-bed and turned toward his office. "Wait a moment. Doctor." Kathryn's voice made him pause but he did not turn back around immediately. "B'Elanna is sorry she said that." She sent a look to B'Elanna that made some of the high color drain from her face. B'Elanna stared back, blinking uncertainly. The doctor's icy look had fazed her not at all, but Kathryn's froze the core of her very soul. She licked her lips and had the grace to look abashed. "D-doctor," she faltered, "I...I am sorry. Forgive me." The look of utter surprise on the hologram's face as he turned back around to stare in astonishment at his patient made Kathryn stifle a laugh that threatened to erupt from her chest. She stared at him blandly as he flicked his gaze to her for a moment. He stalked back to the bio-bed and snatched the regenerator up. Activating it, he passed the device over B'Elanna's torn cheek. B'Elanna sat meekly, hands folded, the very picture of docile patience while he worked. Kathryn, knowing her mate all too well, made a mental note to put a command block on any tinkering with the Doctor's program. The doctor finished his treatment and snapped the regenerator off. He glanced at Kathryn. "With your permission, Captain." Without waiting for it, however, he blinked himself off. Kathryn rolled her eyes at Chakotay and turned to B'Elanna. "I should have let him just walk away," she said sternly, glaring at her. "I said I was sorry," B'Elanna muttered sullenly, looking martyred. "Doesn't anybody care that that...that damn Borg attacked me, and---" "Yes, we care," Kathryn cut into her aggrieved words. "That's why I called him back, but next time you pitch such a childish fit, I'll let him go." B'Elanna ducked her head, but said nothing. Kathryn turned to Chakotay. "Commander, if you will excuse us?" He nodded and turned to leave. "I'll just go check on--" He paused, glancing at B'Elanna. "--things." She nodded and turned back to B'Elanna. As soon as the doors had closed on the exec, Kathryn folded her arms and fixed B'Elanna with her sternest gaze. "I swear, B'Elanna," she said in exasperation, "sometimes I actually feel like taking you across my knee like a three-year old brat." The emphasis on the last word was deliberate and red rose in B'Elanna's cheeks. "And giving you a licking within an inch of your life." For about two seconds, B'Elanna considered making a risque' joke about that, but decided against it. She hunched her shoulders, feeling persecuted. "Are you going to give Seven as much grief about what she did as you are about--" She gestured to the spot where the doctor had been a minute ago, "--this?" Kathryn's scowl gave her pause, but she glared back defiantly. "Seven," Kathryn said icily, "wasn't herself when she bit you. You, on the other hand, unfortunately, were yourself when you insulted the doctor. Too much yourself, in fact." B'Elanna looked outraged, but Kathryn kept on speaking before she could say anything. "One of these days, my dear, that temper of yours is going to get you into something you won't be able to get out of. And won't have me to get you out of." B'Elanna jumped off the bio-bed, her temper boiling over again. "Fine," she spat. "I'll just relieve you of all the responsibility of me right now. I'll have my things out of your quarters by--" "Oh, for God's sake!" Kathryn cried, grabbing B'Elanna's arm as her angry mate started to stomp past her. She jerked B'Elanna back around and up against her. Holding her as tightly as she could, she said, "Damn you, woman. You drive me completely up the wall, do you know that?" They were both breathing hard, staring at each other, faces only two inches apart. A low growl grated in B'Elanna's throat. Tangling her hands in B'Elanna's thick dark hair, Kathryn pulled her mouth to hers and kissed her fiercely. B'Elanna kissed her back with equal ferocity and their tongues battled. B'Elanna's hands came up to grip the sides of Kathryn's face and when they drew apart a fraction a few minutes later in order to breathe. "Maybe," B'Elanna rasped, "you'd rather I go down there to Seven and finish what she tried to start." "When hell freezes over," Kathryn growled. With an ease that stunned B'Elanna, Kathryn suddenly hoisted her up onto the bio-bed and climbed on top of her, tearing at her uniform jacket, groping under the gray turtleneck for warm, naked skin. B'Elanna pulled Kathryn's face to hers and kissed her, her tongue thrusting aggressively into Kathryn's mouth. Kathryn accepted it, meeting her with equal aggression. B'Elanna's hands fumbled at Kathryn's clothing, ripping the jacket open and grasping one of her breasts. Kathryn's body arched in response, pressing herself into B'Elanna's searching hands. Somehow the clothing found its way to the floor or draped across the foot of the bio-bed and they were naked. On all fours above B'Elanna, Kathryn nipped her lover's skin, salty with the sweat of anger and arousal with sharp little bites, making B'Elanna writhe and growl and rake her back with her nails. Kathryn laid trails of kisses in a random pattern across B'Elanna's straining body, carefully avoiding the spot most needing attention despite B'Elanna's muttered pleas. She sucked on the hard little pebbles of nipples, swirling her tongue hard against them. She bit the soft underside of the warm firm mounds of flesh, smiling to herself as she heard B'Elanna's gasps and moans. B'Elanna's hands had found Kathryn's bottom and were kneading it vigorously, her fingers pulling at the cleft of the firm cheeks. Kathryn was all too achingly aware of the fire between her own legs, but she knew B'Elanna would tend it in her own good time. For now, she was concerned only with the taste and feel of her skin and the anticipation of the delight that lay just spare inches from her questing mouth. Almost casually, her hand trailed down to cup B'Elanna's mound, stroking her lightly. B'Elanna groaned, lifting her hips off the bio-bed in an effort to get more of Kathryn's touch. Kathryn ran her finger between swollen netherlips. "Kathryn!" B'Elanna gasped. "Oh, baby, please...!" Kathryn slid first one finger and then two into the hot, wet slickness, dragging the pads of her fingers against B'Elanna's hyper-sensitive clit. B'Elanna twitched in response, giving long, low moans. Kathryn scooted back until she was kneeling between her lover's spread thighs and lowered her head, her tongue flicking sensitive flesh exposed by her spreading fingers. She slowly licked and sucked B'Elanna until the tide of orgasm crashed over her in a roaring wave of racking pleasure. Kathryn stretched up to pillow her chin on B'Elanna's heaving stomach, smiling as she watched her mate's sweaty, flushed face. After a few minutes, B'Elanna hitched herself up on her elbows and stared at Kathryn, licking her lips. "Maybe," she said musingly, "I won't kill Seven after all. Not if the result is this." They grinned at each other. "My version," Kathryn said, "of kissing it and making it better." --- Copyright 1998 ILuvKate --- The End
