The BLTS Archive - Nocturne Part of The Symphony series by Espressivo (espressivo@nettrash.com) --- Lieutenant Commander Data had activated his dream program exactly fourteen point six eight minutes ago. During that time every thought and emotion that he had experienced had been automatically noted and logged in his vast positronic memory for later revue. Dreaming was not a new experience for the android. In fact it had been something he had once initiated daily... until the the episode with the Borg Queen. After her physical destruction, she had haunted Data's dreams until he had begun to fear using the program ever again. It had been Deanna Troi's urging that finally convinced him to resume his prior routine tonight... --- The Enterprise was devoid of people, the usually bustling corridors quiet and somehow ominous. Data, a pale, gold shadow, drifted through them, seemingly oblivious to his surroundings. He knew he had a goal but could summon no urgency for his task, whatever it might be. Winding his way through the empty ship he eventually found himself in a dark transporter room. Of course. Why hadn't he remembered that was where he was supposed to be going? No matter. He was here now. For some reason he knew he had only to wish the transporter into operation and did so. Swirling blue light surrounded him in a familiar, comforting embrace... ...and then receded, leaving the android laying on a hard, metal table. He noted with no surprise at all that he was naked. Staring upwards, Data was mildly concerned to find that he could no longer move his neck, the servos there completely dead to the electrical impulses fired from his brain. He lay still, as though his emotions had been dampened somehow, quieted from their usual state of confliction and confusion. "Hello, son." A human face suddenly loomed in Data's own, vivid blue eyes twinkling with amusement. My eyes, the android couldn't help thinking. The ones she promised me. And where was that blessed emotional calm now? My face, the face I should have had. Jealousy, sharp and painful, lanced through him. "Shhhhhhh, Data. It's going to be fine... " Data jerked his torso upright, only to have his shoulders gently held by the man. Noonien Soong exerted no pressure, but the android was still unable to break free of him. Soong's hands moved in a soothing pattern against Data's shoulders and back as he bent slightly to cradle his creation against his chest. "Shhhhhhh... " And the android slowly quieted, unable to do anything else. He let his head rest against his fathers chest and sighed, letting those compassionate hands heal his mind and still his body. One swept upwards to cup the back of his bowed head and neck, and Data let the steady heart beat under his ear lull him. Soong laid his cheek against Data's hair and murmured, "I'm so sorry." The sadness in his voice made Data tighten his arms around him protectively, his face rising to come to rest against his father's neck, his lips over the pulse that throbbed there. Noonien cupped Data's chin and lifted his face. The blue eyes still sparkled, but now with unshed tears. Instinctively, if Data could be said to have instincts, the android reached up and placed one gentle kiss on the man's smooth cheek. He was rewarded with the sudden smile that broke across the face of his creator. Noonien's hands rose to rest against his son's golden cheeks, and he lowered his face until his lips brushed Data's own. He drew back slightly, blue eyes searching yellow eyes, and seeing the welcome there he repeated the kiss. Data's lips parted slightly, and it seemed the most natural thing in the world when his tongue slid into the hot cavern Noonien's mouth. Languidly, the two continued to explore each other's mouths, Data gripping tight to the man's shirt and Noonien's hands restlessly caressing the androids silky torso, tracing the features that he himself had made. Soong's mouth slid to Data's delicate throat, tongue lapping against the hollow at its base as his hands pressed firmly against Data's shoulders, pressing him to lie prone once again on the table. As the android complied and reclined the man's tongue followed, slipping lower to graze a hard nipple and to suck it into his mouth, his hands now caressing the pale, flat stomach. Data's body, always so obedient to his demands, betrayed him now. Without conscious will his back arched upwards to meet wet mouth that was causing this... this... ache that he'd never felt, that he never knew he could feel... --- The computer in Data's quarters emitted a loud beep and the android's eyes flew open. He was gasping which was strange. He never gasped. It was a human response to intense physical exertion or extreme emotion and served no useful purpose to a machine. Concentrating on controlling his errant breathing pattern, Data ran his hands down his chest and over his stomach to trace the hard bulge of his erection. "Intriguing... " --- The End
