Inspired by the recent deluge of drabbles, though most of them were humorous (or at least reasonably lighthearted) and this decidedly isn't. Honest and thoughtful criticism is appreciated, whether delivered publicly or privately. DISCLAIMER: The characters are the property of Paramount. I'm just borrowing them. A quiet description, quietly heard. "A good death, then." "Yes ... A good death." Suddenly, shockingly -- Spock's head on his shoulder, unmoving. Seeking what? Solace, perhaps. Extraordinary. Only a moment, then Spock was Spock again. He had no response then. But afterwards, for Spock, for them all, he wept. -- The End
