Quark called out to the former FCA liquidator. "Why me?" Brunt replied, looking at the Vorta with concern. "I don't trust him!" "Nobody does. It's the way he likes it." Quark was quickly beginning to tire of Brunt's cowardice. He would even have preferred his usual arrogance. Sighing, he explained, "We have to take turns watching him and you might as well start." Brunt straightened out, realizing he was sniveling like a baby. "Alright, and just because you don't think I can, I will." He turned to Keevan and grabbed his arm, pulling him along towards the store room just off the infirmary. "You - come with me." Keevan smiled. This one would be so easy... --- Four hours could be a long time if one spent it silently staring at a dangerous and beautiful prisoner. What made matters worse, Keevan had nothing to lose. If he didn't escape, he would be killed. And if he tried and failed, things still would turn out the same way. Brunt was uncomfortably aware of this. And of the Vorta's unfaltering gaze focused on him. "What are you staring at?" he snapped. "You, Ferengi." Keevan's expression remained blank and unreadable. "Why?" Brunt began to worry. "Because, to be perfectly honest, there is nothing else to look at." Keevan twisted his wrists in the cuffs, trying to relax them. Brunt jumped and pointed his phaser at the Vorta. "Don't move!" he shrieked. Keevan smiled. "I wouldn't dare try to escape with *you* watching over me." His voice was laden with sarcasm. Even so, Brunt relaxed a little. Not that he believed Keevan for a minute. But what could a tied-up Vorta do? What was more, what could one do with a tied-up Vorta? Where had that come from? Brunt shook himself, as if trying to keep from falling asleep, but in reality, he was trying to shake off those kinds of thoughts. "Tired?" Keevan asked softly. He was aware that none of the Ferengi had gotten any sleep on the trip here and he knew that sooner or later, that would make them drowsy and slower to react. Brunt inhaled deeply. "Just a little. Thanks for asking." Keevan shrugged and returned to staring at him blankly and in silence. After a few more minutes of that, Brunt couldn't take it anymore. "Stop that right now or I'll shoot you!" "No, you won't," Keevan stated confidently. "You can hardly shoot a valuable prisoner for looking at you. You need me, don't forget." How could he? The Vorta was their only chance to get off this cursed station alive. Brunt nodded and lowered his phaser back to the ground. He had to be careful. If he got too sleepy, it would be easy for Keevan to take the phaser off him. Handcuffed or not. He was cunning. And ruthless. And quite intoxicating. "Oh wonderful. Three and a half more hours," Brunt sighed after a hasty glance at his latinum-plated pocket watch. "And then what?" Keevan asked. "And then I get to have some sleep and someone else has to sit in here with you." Time couldn't pass quickly enough. "I take it you don't like my company." Keevan smiled, knowing very well that was not the problem. Brunt was taken aback. "Well, yes. I mean... no, not really. I'm tired, and I'd like to get some rest..." "... from keeping the phaser pointed at me or from sharing such a small space with me?" The Ferengi gaped at his prisoner. When he finally regained his wits, he barked, "What do you mean?" "I think we both know what I mean." The Vorta sighed and shifted a little, trying to get more leg room. His boots barely touched Brunt's, but the Ferengi was so on edge, he jumped at the brief contact. "Do I make you nervous?" Keevan inquired. "No!" Brunt exclaimed quickly. Of course Keevan made him nervous. And not just because he could be expected to seize the first opportunity to knock him over the head with a heavy object and steal his ship. "If you would like to take a nap, I promise I won't escape," the Vorta said softly, enjoying the confusion on the Ferengi's face. For a moment, it looked as if he actually believed him. They never learned! It did indeed take Brunt a short while to realize he was being had. The Vorta looked so sincere when he'd said that. What was he thinking? Keevan was no more sincere than he himself was short of latinum. He grinned. "I'm sure you wouldn't. But I think I'll pass on the offer anyway." "As you wish." Keevan playfully stretched his arms and yawned. "You don't mind if I sleep then?" "Again?" Brunt asked incredulously. "You slept all the way here." Keevan settled back against some old rugs that were piled up on the floor and against the wall before answering. "To be perfectly honest with you, I'm bored." Brunt couldn't believe how calm his prisoner was. "Bored?" he asked. "You know you're going to be killed shortly by your own people and the only thing you feel is boredom?" The Vorta really were rather different from Ferengi, that much was certain. Keevan turned on his side, facing Brunt. "It still remains to be seen whether we won't all be equally dead in a few hours from now. In the meantime, there's nothing I can do about it, so why worry?" Brunt became even more nervous. "Why do you have to keep saying that?" "Why worry?" Keevan asked. "No, that we'll all be dead soon." Brunt sighed in exasperation. "Because that is most likely what will happen. When the Dominion take a prisoner, they're not in the habit of letting them go again. There's no reason to believe they'll make an exception for an old Ferengi woman." "They might..." Brunt said weakly. Keevan's only comment was another --- The only thing that still kept Brunt awake an hour later was watching Keevan. The Vorta's distracting blue eyes were closed in sleep, but there was plenty left to look at. Brunt had discovered how very attracted he was to the Vorta in general back on Deep Space Nine when he'd come across a holopic of Weyoun. What incredibly sensual creatures they were... and they didn't even know it. Or did they? This one right here in front of him was particularly problematic. His lobes hadn't stopped tingling since Quark had first brought him on board his ship. He had peeked around the corner at him then too, watching him sleep. Watching those long lashes rest on his cheeks and those pouty lips half-open... And now it was back to that. Brunt sighed. "I should probably tell you that I am awake." Keevan moved and opened his eyes. The Ferengi jolted. "Oh!" Moving into a more sitting position, Keevan leant back against the wall. "I told you earlier there was nothing to look at in here." When he sensed Brunt's discomfort, he continued, "Besides me. And you've done a lot of that, haven't you?" "Well..." Brunt began, his voice high-pitched and nervous. But when the Vorta smiled, he realized he wasn't being reprimanded. He chuckled. "Yes." Keevan pulled one leg up against himself, leaving the other one stretched out. He extended his cuffed hands to rest in his lap. The movement had the sole purpose of drawing the Ferengi's focus to his groin. "I don't mind." "Mind?" Brunt was seriously distracted. "Mind what?" "Mind you looking at me. I've gotten used to that. The guards in the Federation prison where I was held did the same." Keevan certainly didn't seem fazed by all the attention he got. Brunt was growing more and more confused. If he didn't know better, he would think the Vorta was coming on to him. He probably presumed it would help him escape. But of course he underestimated the cunning of the Ferengi. Keevan lowered his eyes, gazing sadly at his tied hands. Brunt had already considered taking the cuffs off him. After all, he still had the phaser directed at him... It wasn't long before he asked, "I guess that's uncomfortable after all this time?" "Very," the Vorta said. He wasn't surprised to find Brunt looking around for something to open the cuffs with. "There's nothing suitable in here I'm afraid," Keevan offered helpfully. "Oh." Brunt stopped searching. "I'm sorry. Is there anything else I can do to make you more comfortable?" His lobes twitched. What was he saying? Keevan smiled. "There might be." When those intensely blue eyes met his, Brunt held his breath. Would the Vorta really go that far to get away? Not that he'd mind... "I need to... relieve myself." Brunt felt as though he'd been dropped in a vat of cold water. "Ah," he muttered. That was a problem. He knew there was a waste extraction unit not far from the infirmary and that they could get there through the tiny backdoor of the closet, but Keevan's hands were tied. He would have to help him... "Alright, come with me," he offered hastily. They climbed through the small opening that led to the Promenade and Brunt led his prisoner to the appropriate facility. Once there, Keevan looked at him pleadingly. "You'll need help with that." Brunt considered doing this with one hand so he could continue holding on to his phaser, but he felt ridiculous. Keevan surely wouldn't try anything in this situation. "Yes, I'm afraid so." Keevan waited patiently while Brunt placed the phaser at a safe distance. Then he stood very still in front of the Ferengi, his hands raised to his chest. "If you'll allow me..." Brunt muttered, trying to focus on the task at hand. He undid the Vorta's lavender blue pants and carefully reached inside. Keevan watched as the Ferengi's trembling fingers closed around him and just at that moment, he said, "I believe I no longer need to relieve myself." "What?" Brunt sounded as disappointed as he did confused. "I'm sorry." Keevan smiled at the man who's hand was still inside his trousers. He didn't move, but he noted with satisfaction that it took the Ferengi quite some time to realize that removing his hand was the appropriate thing to do. Brunt grinned nervously and took a step back. "I'll still need your help..." Keevan looked down his body meaningfully. "Of course." Brunt quickly zipped up the Vorta's pants and reached for his phaser. Keevan took a deep breath and led the way back to the tiny space off the infirmary. When they got there, he turned around, causing Brunt to walk straight into him. He didn't even flinch when the Ferengi stood back and began to apologize. He interrupted the flow of words. "I just wanted to thank you for trying to help me." For the first time, he looked sincere. It made him look immensely vulnerable. Brunt had had enough. "Will you please stop teasing me!" he complained. "I don't know what you mean." Keevan looked utterly surprised, his eyes widening innocently. By now, Brunt's lobes felt as if a family of beetles were making their home inside of them. He dropped the phaser to the ground and pinned Keevan against the wall. Ignoring the pressure of the Vorta's tied hands against his groin, he pressed his mouth hard against the full lips he'd been admiring for hours. Keevan didn't resist. He allowed Brunt to kiss him and he even responded. His tongue played with the Ferengi's and he turned his wrists just far enough to allow him to touch Brunt's growing erection, causing him to wince with pleasure. "Sorry," he whispered. "No, no, it's... Aaah... alright!" Brunt muttered against Keevan's pale neck. The Vorta's tied hands were rubbing against him mercilessly and he pinned Keevan harder against the wall to relieve some of the onslaught of sensation. "Someone might come," Keevan murmured teasingly. Brunt chuckled, but he took the hint and pushed the Vorta through the wall opening and back into the closet. Once there, he carefully slid the door to the infirmary open just a notch, making sure everyone was still asleep. When he turned back again, Keevan was smiling at him seductively. "My hands are tied, I'm afraid." "Don't worry about that. We can work around it." Brunt grinned and moving swiftly, he lay Keevan down flat on his back, crouched over him and raised his cuffed hands above his head. The large piece of latinum on a chain that decorated Brunt's neck was discarded carelessly. A most unusual gesture for the Ferengi. He looked down at his prisoner admiringly. "You are *so* beautiful!" "Thank you. I wouldn't know." Keevan looked a little sad. "Why?" Brunt inquired. "Vorta are not equipped with a sense of aesthetics." The explanation caused a smile from the Ferengi. "You're equipped with plenty of other things... Well, you'll just have to take my word for it. And it's probably worth more than yours." He chuckled. "Possibly, but I doubt it very much." Keevan smiled, knowing he'd just paid Brunt a compliment. Brunt was beginning to like the Vorta more and more. Better not to think about that. He hurriedly undid Keevan's jacket and let it fall open before sliding his hands underneath his shirt. Such smooth, warm skin. He pulled the material up and pressed his lips to the Vorta's stomach. Reveling in the paleness of his skin, he ran his tongue slowly up to Keevan's chest, while his free hand began to pull down the blue pants. Keevan lifted his hips to help, but it only served to press his erection against the Ferengi's. Brunt moaned and for a moment, he was too distracted to continue. Taking a deep breath, he tightened his grip around the cuffed hands. "Aren't you restrained enough?" he said with exasperation. "I'm afraid not." Keevan's suggestive tone set the Ferengi's lobes on fire. He kissed the Vorta wildly, his hand frantically pulling and tugging at his tight clothing. Finally, he managed to pull it down just far enough to run two searching fingers over the exposed hardness, lingering on the ornamental ridges matching those on Keevan's ears. Never interrupting the kiss, he began to slide his hand up and down the hard shaft while rubbing himself against it fully clothed. Keevan's soft moans finally became too much and Brunt moved down his prisoner's body to take him in his mouth. When his tiny, sharp teeth accidentally pricked Keevan, the Vorta gasped, only to let out an even more ecstatic moan. Brunt took him as far down his throat as he could manage, sucking relentlessly. He was so engrossed in his activity, it took him by surprise when Keevan pulled his tied hands from his grip and began to run the tips of his fingers around the Ferengi's ears. Brunt came with a groan, but he didn't stop administering to Keevan for even an instant. When the Vorta's sweet cream finally spurted into his mouth, Brunt almost came again. The sounds his beautiful captive made were almost too much to bear. Sinking down on Keevan's chest, Brunt rubbed his cheek against the other's stomach. "Oh my..." he grunted, exhausted but happy. It came as no small surprise to the Ferengi when Keevan pushed him off and he was flung back against the other wall. He howled out in protest, but to his great relief, the Vorta settled down on top of him, his knees on either side of Brunt's thighs. "You're awfully strong for such a... delicate creature!" Brunt gasped with admiration. Keevan smiled. "So I'm told." He tilted his head sideways enticingly and said in a low tone, "I have an offer for you." Brunt grinned, finding it increasingly harder to concentrate with Keevan's groin pressed against his. "Let me guess. You want me to let you escape." The Vorta nodded. "Of course I do. But I don't expect you to give up your life so easily." The Ferengi only then fully realized that with Keevan gone, they would have no ship to leave the station. In fact, they would be stranded, waiting for the Dominion to come and track them down one by one. That was no option, as much as he would have liked to help Keevan. "I see you don't like that idea." Keevan's seductive voice brought other considerations to Brunt's mind. The Vorta would be killed if he didn't escape. And that would be an infinite shame! "You have to admit, it would be suicide to let to go." "Yes," Keevan admitted freely, "It would be." Then he bent forward, pressing harder against Brunt's still sensitive groin. His lips were close to the Ferengi's ears when he whispered, "But I could make death so sweet for you..." Brunt moaned. All he wanted was for Keevan to continue those gentle rocking motions in his lap. The scent of the aroused Vorta was unbelievable and it made his head swim. His skin was tingling and his lobes were burning. He had to have him. Whatever it would cost. "Yes!" His voice was shaky but determined. Keevan smiled triumphantly when his cuffed hands found their way to the fastening of Brunt's trousers. He pulled them down easily and his slim fingers closed around the Ferengi's erection. "You will not regret this," he said softly. --- When Brunt woke up, he instantly realized Keevan was gone. But for how long? His head was swimming and he suspected he had been knocked out. Smiling, he remembered... What was a little bit of pain compared to *that*? But as soon as his brain was able to focus again, it came back to him. With the ship gone, all six of them would be sure to die. And as much as he wanted to let Keevan go, he wanted to live even more. Quickly, he pulled on his clothes and straightened out. Then he let out a high-pitched scream to alert the Ferengi in the infirmary. --- The End
