The BLTS Archive- Steam  Heat II: Preparation by Joanne Collins (luchenbackoutlaw@gmail.com) --- Disclaimer:  Everything Trek belongs to Paramount/Viacom.   Please do not distribute, archive, etc, without my permission. I will probably say yes, but I'd prefer to know about it. All surprises require careful planning and preparation ;-). --- Harry hummed as he worked, a song from the twentieth century that his husband had taught him, New Kid In Town. He sang it aloud, after humming it through. If someone had told him as recently as five years ago that he'd be married to Tom Paris, he'd have laughed in their faces. He'd have insisted that he and Tom were friends, and nothing more. And he'd have believed it.  Then. Not that he hadn't thought about Tom, hell, he'd thought about Tom from the moment they'd met, but he had wanted to stay faithful to the promise he'd made to Libby.  The promise he still sometimes felt guilty over breaking, no matter how hard he tried.  He felt that that proved that he *had* loved Libby, contrary to some of the rumours he'd heard floating around the ship. He hoped that she remembered him as he did her, with love, and that she had gone on with her life. Harry created a rock, one that he could move on, but to his naked skin it felt like silk, not stone,  And a bench for Tom, one that he could easily see the rock with.  Harry created an image of Tom on the rock, and was *almost* tempted to ask Tom to change places...but he decided not to. Then he began the steam, climbed up onto the rock, and that was when he heard the holodeck doors open... --- The End
