The BLTS Archive- Come In Out Of The World by Joanne Collins (luchenbackoutlaw@gmail.com) --- No, this is not the sequel to That Wasn't Me. I was just listening to a Tanya Tucker CD, and this song made me think of how hard Chak must work, and how much he must rely on Tom to make their time together special. And this story...this PWP? popped into my head. Just assume Tom and Chakotay are established lovers, not living together and they got together at the end of Basics. A little backrub fantasy loosely inspired by Atara's Picard/Q backrub. Warning: Absolutely no plot! Comments and feedback welcome (and craved). No flames about my taste in music (even though it is country music) please. Characters copyrighted by Paramount used without permission. Story (PWP) copyrighted May 1997 by Joanne Collins. Tanya Tucker's song Come In Out Of The World is also used without permission. I give my permission for this story (PWP) to be archived at the ASC archives. It may also be posted to BLTS. It is also to be posted at R'Rain's archive. Please don't distribute elsewhere except for personal archiving. Do feel free to share the story (PWP) with friends, just keep my name and the headers on it. Wow, a story (PWP) without an angst warning! Mush, though, is definitely present ;-). Dedicated to Jan and June and Kim, for Kiss Me A Paris. Who needs a plot ? --- Come in, out of the world, Out of the cold and lonely night. Tanya Tucker, Come In Out Of The World. --- "Commander," Captain Janeway said, "You will have those reports on my desk in the morning, won't you?" "Of course, Captain," Chakotay replied, groaning inwardly. Tuvok had made the same request about some urgent security reports, and B'Elanna had asked for some Engineering personnel evaluations as well. So much for time with Tom tonight. If he'd had one, or two of those jobs, he might have had time to see Tom tonight, but with the three, he'd never make it. Captain Janeway left Chakotay's quarters, and a moment later, his door chime sounded. 'If this is someone with another job that has to be done by tomorrow,' he thought as he stalked over to the door. "What is it?" he asked irritatedly, softening his expression when he realised that it was Tom, "Sorry, it's one of those nights," he continued, pulling his lover into his arms. "What's the problem?" Tom asked. "The perils of being First Officer. Three lots of reports that have to be done yesterday. So much for our quiet dinner, or even the late supper I'd planned." Tom caressed his back through the uniform, and grimaced. "Gods, you're as stiff as a board, Chakotay. After a night of reports, you'll be a mess of knots tomorrow." "What do you suggest I do about it? Do you have a holoprogram with a really good backrub?" "Why don't you come to my quarters when you finish these reports? We can have that late supper. I'd just like to be with you for a while tonight. I love you, you know?" Chakotay smiled. "I know. I love you, too. But are you sure? I'll be working very late..." "Hey, I knew when we started this that you were a busy guy. It's part of being involved with the First Officer. I'll cancel my pool game with B'Elanna, and get some sleep now, so I'll be able to be with you later." "How could I turn down an offer like that?" Chakotay breathed. "Don't," Tom grinned, "About how long will you actually be? I don't want to be asleep when you get there." "I should be finished by 2330 at the very latest. In fact, if I'm not, the rest can wait till tomorrow. Dammit, I'm not on duty 24 hours a day!" "You act like it sometimes. Or you used to." "Yes, I know. I guess it was just...proving myself. After this all happened, I guess I was just adjusting to being back on a Starfleet ship, getting used to the chain of command again. But I finally started to realise that we might be out here for the rest of our lives, that we need to build lives for ourselves out here." "You know, I think I was more surprised than anyone when you kissed me that first time. Of course, the bridge wasn't exactly the most private place you could have chosen." "That will teach you to rescue the ship from the Kazon, won't it? Now get out of here and get some rest. I intend to make sure you need it." "Oh, yes Sir," Tom saluted him teasingly, but leaving nonetheless. He knew that Chakotay needed to get the reports done, and he had plans to make for the two of them. --- Much later, Chakotay finished the final report. He glanced at his chronometer and noticed that it was 2245, slightly earlier than he'd expected. He tapped his combadge. "Chakotay to Paris." "Does this mean you've finished?" came Tom's voice. "Yes." "Come on, then. I've been waiting for you." "I'll just be a few minutes. I have to talk my body into getting out of this chair." Tom laughed, and cut the channel off. Chakotay groaned, and thought that he hadn't been exaggerating a lot as his muscles protested. A few minutes later, he was in the turbolift, heading for Tom's quarters. He got there, and was surprised when the door opened automatically. He stepped inside, into almost total darkness, except for the light spilling from the inner room. In the path of the light was a small table, holding a bottle of wine and two glasses. On the bottle was a note. Chakotay walked over and held it to the light. It read: Open the wine, and pour. Don't increase the lights. Then sit down and wait. Tom. Smiling, Chakotay did as he had been instructed. He opened the wine, and after a moment's consideration poured two glasses. Picking one up, he walked to the couch and sat down, wondering what Tom had planned. Suddenly music started playing. Chakotay didn't recognise the tune, but he liked it. Then he heard a voice start to sing. It was Tom, of course. Chakotay loved it when Tom sang to him, and Tom must have chosen this song especially. Tom came into his view, and Chakotay gasped. Tom was wearing jeans and a blue shirt, and he looked irresistible. He continued the song: Did everybody talk a bit too fast today? Did everybody say, "We need it now"? Did they leave you wishing you could vanish in thin air? And when you found out you couldn't, Then you found your way here. Come in, out of the world, Out of the cold and lonely night, Come in, out of the world, Where everything's judged in black and white, Let me take your coat and hat, and lay them on the shelf, And you can be yourself, Come in, out of the world, Where everyone swears that they're your friend, Come in, out of the world, Out where they use you again and again. Let me pour a glass or two, There's nowhere else to be, And there's no-one here but me, Come in. You don't need permission, To say what's on your mind, And I'm willing to listen, if you're willing to take the time. Come in, out of the world, Out of the cold and lonely night, Come in, out of the world, Just let it go and hold me tight, If you look into my heart, before the night is through, You'll see the place I've saved for you, Come in. Come in, out of the world, Come in, out of the world. "I'm always here for you, Chakotay. Whatever you need whenever you need it." "Oh, Tom," was all Chakotay was capable of saying. Tom smiled, and walked over to join Chakotay on the couch, picking up his glass on the way. The two men were silent for a few moments, drinking the wine. "This is real, isn't it, Tom?" "Yes. I brought a case on board with me. Not strictly permitted, but I thought I'd enjoy myself while I was out of prison. I figured they couldn't do anything worse to me." Chakotay felt the tremor that went through Tom's body at the mention of prison, and swore once again that if he had any say in the matter, Tom would never return to that place again, even if they found a way home tomorrow. Although Tom didn't talk about it much, he knew that he'd had some bad times in prison. He reached out a hand to caress Tom's face gently, wondering how he'd ever thought that he hated him. "What?" Tom asked, leaning into the caress. "Just wondering how it took me so long to realise...what you meant to me." "Circumstances. Let's face it, they were less than ideal." "True," Chakotay grimaced as his back protested his moving to take Tom into his arms. Tom smiled in sympathy, moving his strong, graceful hands to Chakotay's neck, rubbing gently. "Mmmm," Chakotay groaned in appreciation. Tom continued, moving his hands down, rubbing at the knots in Chakotay's back through the uniform, loosening the tension slightly. After a few minutes, he stopped, and Chakotay moaned in protest at the cessation of the relief. "Why don't you take your clothes off? It would be much easier for me to get at you." Chakotay raised an eyebrow at the words, but complied. "Now, why don't we move into the bedroom? You can lie on the bed, and I can give you a proper backrub." Chakotay wasn't about to argue. He got up, and moved slowly towards the bedroom, wondering why Tom was holding back, picking up the wine glasses, placing them in the replicator, tidying up a bit...then he gasped. The room was covered in candles, they were on every flat surface, creating a warm, ambient glow. Next to the bed was a bottle of oil, scented with herbs and pine. "You like?" asked Tom, "I did it for you...us." "Tom, it's wonderful. You know just what to do to make me feel...loved. Does that sound corny?" "Yes, but it doesn't matter. It's how I feel, too. Now, lie down on the bed. It's time for you to be taken care of. You take care of everyone else on the ship, it's your turn now." Chakotay smiled, Tom was so...enthusiastic at times. He reminded Chakotay of Harry Kim at times like this, although Chakotay knew that if he ever mentioned it, Tom would vehemently protest it. With a smile, he lay down. He could hear Tom moving to open the oil, and started at the first shock of the slippery substance on his back. Tom knelt beside him, smoothing the oil over his tense muscles, rubbing gently in some places, and more firmly in others, always gentle and caring, never too rough, always with the intent of relaxation. Chakotay had no idea Tom was so talented with his hands...at least this way, he thought, remembering a few intimate moments. "Mmmm," he moaned, remembering some of those times, when Tom's hands and mouth had brought him to the edge of release again and again, only to stop before he could climb that wall, then Tom would enter his body, or he would enter Tom's and then they would climb the wall together. Tom's movements had had the desired effect, and Chakotay's muscles were relaxed now. Tom's hands still moved over Chakotay's back, but they were definitely not trying to release the now non-existent tension. In fact, Chakotay realised dimly, they were moving with quite a different purpose now, caressing his spine, moving down to touch his buttocks, then to caress his sides, up to his neck..then Tom leaned over to press a kiss to the base of his spine. "Ohh, yes, Tom," Chakotay moaned, "Please, I want you." Tom gently directed Chakotay to turn over with gentle movements of his hands. Chakotay gasped at the sight of Tom in the candlelight, he'd swear Tom was an angel if he didn't know better, he was so beautiful. Then Tom was stripping his clothes off quickly, and he lay down beside Chakotay. Chakotay moved to take Tom in his arms, and the younger man responded eagerly. Chakotay began licking and biting gently at Tom's neck, then moved further down, nuzzling his shoulders, then moving to his chest, finding his nipples, tonguing them into hard points. Tom moaned, then moved to gently pin Chakotay's shoulders down, tracing his tattoo with his tongue, returning the caresses, then moving further, dipping his tongue into Chakotay's navel, loving the shivering response he got, moving a hand down to wrap it around Chakotay's growing erection, following the hand with his mouth, bringing Chakotay to full hardness in his mouth. Chakotay was moaning, thrashing his hips, unsure how to increase the incredible pleasure. Tom smiled around him, then gently moved one hand to Chakotay's puckered opening, moving it gently inside him, caressing gently, finding his lover's prostate, moving gently over it, then, as Tom added a second finger, Chakotay clenched around them, tensing his entire body, then coming in Tom's mouth. "Mmmmm," Tom said, pulling Chakotay up to kiss him, "You taste so good." Chakotay just smiled, and continued to kiss Tom, gently. After a few minutes of this, he became aware of Tom's erection poking him. He gently brushed his thigh against it, causing a moan from his lover. "So, what do you want, Tom?" "I want you, Chakotay. I want to be inside you." "That's good. That's what I want, too," and Chakotay kissed Tom again, moving to turn over, only to be gently stopped by Tom. "No. I want to see you." Chakotay obliged, rolling onto his back. Tom smiled at him, as he reached for the oil, rather than leave him to replicate lubricant, then Chakotay gasped as Tom's fingers, coated in the slippery oil, entered his body, gently preparing him.for entry. Tom removed his fingers, coated his erection with more oil, Chakotay threw his legs over his shoulders, then Tom slowly entered Chakotay. Tom thrust in and out, gently, until he was buried to the hilt inside Chakotay. He moved a hand to Chakotay's renewed erection, and began pumping him gently, in time with his thrusts in and out of his body. Chakotay placed his hand over Tom's, pacing him as he liked it, then he was coming, all over his and Tom's chests. His muscles clenched around Tom's erection, then Tom exploded deep inside him, shouting "I love you," as he came. The two men just held each other for a while, enjoying the time after lovemaking. Tom suddenly yawned, and Chakotay smiled, then yawned as well. "I think we'd better take a shower, or we'll fall asleep," said Tom, stretching. Chakotay pulled him out of bed, leading him into the bathroom. Soon afterwards, they were back in the bed, having changed the sheets. "Goodnight, Tom. I love you." "I love you too, Chakotay," Tom said, and was asleep in a moment, Chakotay following soon after. --- The End
