The BLTS Archive- The Fantasy series: Caves by Joanne Collins (luchenbackoutlaw@gmail.com) --- Well...581 words.  I thought I'd see what the attraction of caves was...and then got...distracted.  Or rather, Chak did. Paramount's, not mine, don't archive or distribute without asking first, except on the CPSG page. --- "Damn," Chakotay said, trying ineffectually to move the solid rock wall that had materialised in front of them. "What's wrong?"  Tom asked. "The tricorder's going crazy, and my com-badge won't work.  Could you *possibly* try yours?" Tom murmured something unintelligible about "uptight superior officers" but tapped his badge anyway.  To no one's surprise, it didn't work either. "What now?" Tom asked, starting to shiver.  The cave was not exactly warm. "Something wrong?"  Chakotay seemed unaffected, and Tom gritted his teeth, before replying. "I'm *cold*, Commander.  I can't believe that you don't feel it." "I don't," Chakotay said.  "It's not a sauna or anything, but I'm perfectly comfortable.  Spirits, there must be something wrong with one of us.  How do we figure it out?" "Well..." Tom began, sarcastically, "Let's see....I got dumped into that pool of water, thanks to your not noticing it till it was too late. Think that I could still be feeling it?" Chakotay blushed, he'd forgotten that in the cave-in that had almost immediately followed. "I'm sorry," Chakotay began. "Don't worry.  I'll survive," Tom's shivering put the lie to that statement. "Okay, take your clothes off." Tom looked at Chakotay as if the other man were insane. "I'm cold *now*, and you want me to get naked?" "I want you to take off your soaked clothes and wrap this blanket from the field survival pack around you.  Then we'll dry your clothes in front of the fire that I'm building," Chakotay answered. Tom looked a little sheepish, and began stripping the soaked clothes from his cold body.  Soon he was naked, and shivering even more.   Chakotay averted his gaze, and handed Tom the blanket.  Their hands touched as Tom took it, and he almost dropped it at the heat in Chakotay's fingers.   Something passed between them, and Chakotay carefully moved from Tom, going back to work on the fire. Tom huddled as close to the flames as he could get, and gradually the warmth began to seep back into his body.  He looked at the man sitting across from him, his face half in shadow, and spoke. "I'm sorry.  I let my temper get the best of me. Can you forgive me?" Chakotay smiled, "It'll take a lot more than that to earn my forgiveness." Tom smiled back, and moved around to Chakotay's side of the fire. He drew the other man's lips to his in a gentle kiss. "How's that?" "Getting there..." Chakotay chuckled. Tom pressed his body closer to the older man, grinding his naked arousal against Chakotay's clothed groin.  Chakotay moaned, and pulled Tom to him. "You're beautiful," he gasped, lapsing into incoherency as Tom removed his uniform, pressing their naked bodies together, and beginning to move. Tom thrust against the older man, who responded in kind, and before long they were both shouting in release. Tom moved off his lover, and pulled him next to him to rest on his shoulder. "Mmmm, Tom, that was nice," Chakotay said, snuggling into the other man's warmth. Tom whispered, "I love you," then louder, "Computer, end program." Chakotay and Tom exited the holodeck, laughing. "We never get past that rock wall, do we?" Tom teased. "Well, it's your own fault for devising a program that you get naked in. You know I can't resist you." Tom laughed, and said, "But 'Kotay, you could always choose another program..." "But then I wouldn't get you naked," Chakotay replied, "And that would be no fun at all." --- The End
