The BLTS Archive - A Sense of Dress by Amiroq. aka Gypzy (fitchett@netaccess.co.nz) --- Disclaimer: Paramount owns Star Trek, I don't. Nuff said. This is something I got inspired for before shopping on Boxing Day. I took a step back while deciding what to wear (read: trying to get my sister to decide for me) and just had to laugh. --- When Harry arrived at B'Elanna's quarters, a quarter hour before they had to be at the reception, she was still wearing her uniform from work that day. He sighed. "The Captain will keelhaul you if you turn up like that." "I have nothing to wear," she told him, arms folded and a look on her face that made the Engineering crew flee everytime she used it. Unfortunately, it had never worked on Harry. He shook his head slowly and started toward her wardrobe. "You know, it never ceases to amaze me how women can say that, however many clothes they actually have. What about this?" He held up a dark port skirt and matching V-neck top. "A *skirt*? You're kidding." "You wore a skirt on our first date." "That was just us in your quarters. This is the entire senior staff, their dates, Seven, and that xenologist, plus a hundred odd aliens." "Why do you have so many skirts if you won't wear them in public?" She shrugged. "I like them." He sighed again. "Okay, what about your khakis? You wear them all the time." "Too casual." "That red outfit?" "Again, too casual." He flipped through a few more things, leather bodices and skirts that he doubted she'd ever let him get away with suggesting, even as a joke, then found something else. "What about a sarong? It's not *really* a skirt." "Well..." She hesitated, then argued, "it doesn't *go* with anything." "Yes it does. Here." He tossed it to her, then picked out a cream leotard. "Like I said, you have plenty to wear." She muttered something under her breath as he went back out to wait while she changed. --- B'Elanna waited until the alien (who had seemed so *nice*, when she first met him...) wasn't pointing a gun down her throat before leaning toward Harry and muttering, "See what happens when you make me wear a skirt?" --- The End
