Disclaimer: They don't belong to me. Paramount owns everything and
we all know that, so why is it again that we have to keep coming up with
these disclaimers?
Archiving: Go ahead, just keep my name and disclaimer with it.
Spoilers: Slight ones for the episode 'Tsunkatse'.
Author's notes: Unbetaed, but I tried my best to edit it. This is a
reminder to myself to not say anything that could possibly be followed up
by someone on the list saying 'Write it, please.' Just kidding, I
love excuses to write.

"Oh, Tom, I'm so sorry!" Harry Kim said as he walked out
of the mess hall with Tom. What had started out as a mock fistfight ended
with Harry actually hitting Tom in the jaw accidentally. "I really
didn't mean to hurt you!"
Tom smiled gingerly. "I know, don't worry," he sighed.
"Besides, it gives me an excuse to. . . " He trailed off.
"Do what?"
"Nothing, actually. I was just trying to make you feel better."
"Oooh!" Harry exclaimed in frustration as they swung into the
turbolift. "Can't you ever be serious? I don't know what to
do with you anymore. Sometimes I think the only way to shut you up and
knock some sense into you is to kiss you!"
Tom raised an eyebrow. He knew the comment had been made partly in
annoyance, partly in jest, but he decided to see how far he could take it.
"Really, Harry? You've been thinking about kissing me?"
"Well, no - I mean yes - I mean- " Harry was floundering.
Tom decided to press the issue further. 'Just for laughs, of
course.' He reached over and pushed the 'lift override.
Leaning in close he whispered, "Well? Is it yes or no?" He
moved closer to Harry, bending his head so that their lips were brushing.
"Do you want to kiss me, or was this all a tease?"
Tom fully expected Harry to flee to the other side of the lift in terror.
But instead, Harry grasped the back of Tom's neck and pulled him in
for one of the longest and most passionate kisses he had ever experienced.
Finally, Harry pulled away, breathing heavily, and signaled the turbolift
to continue. Smiling smugly, he said, "Well, it worked. You're
speechless for the first time since I've known you."
The 'lift reached their deck, and, with a cheery wave, Harry left,
heading in the opposite direction from Sickbay. Tom stood there, rooted to
the floor in amazement, lost in thought.
'I've got a lot of thinking to do. . . '
