1988Ahhhhh. The sight of when we saw those high cliffs approaching
the harbour. A haven of English-speaking people after hearing nothing
but foreign tongues for years around us. Interesting, because we
could buy stuff there duty free. We went across the border from Gibraltar
into Spain, without using our passports either.
Phil bought a huge number of Edam cheeses because they were cheap. We had them for ages and played with the wax for a long, long, time after. The place was filled with duty free stores that my parents made use of; a camera was bought at one of the stores. We used that one for a fair while.
It was an interesting place, a weird little locale.
