Ethiopia

1986 -- We were in Ethiopia, but we didn't go through customs or anything. It was a stop-off, a break before we went to the next country. Truthfully, I can't remember much—we were only at one anchorage.

What I do remember is what a set of photographs jogs in my memory -- an abandoned set of huts, with hammocks, all created from driftwood. Everything was so white. It was an Indiana Jones sort of place; exactly what you would expect if from the movie.

Sorry about the lack of information … it's all that I can remember. Good for a 5-year-old, huh.
