I went back to sleep this morning on the couch with the cat on my stomach, sleeping also. It spawned a dream in which the cat featured quite prominently on my stomach, sleeping.
Looking at my Livejournal friend's page, I read that Rachel Silverman had found brownies in her backyard. But from the beginning. I and one other person were outside of a house, tinkering with cars, when suddenly doors began to open and shut. We didn't know it then, but it was the brownies trying to frighten us away. We didn't notice when the main door opened because we were still playing around with the second car, but when the first car mysteriously migrated inside we sure did.
We checked it outbrownies. Then, that's when I read the livejournal entry. Back to the house, we were all in the backyard and trying to help the critters. Rachel's SO was hoisting the house up to a tree without having discussed it with the creatures first, who were talking to Rachel. When the house was hoisted him and I stood back, then he commented that the tree looked like it was only for very small critters and the house might have to be shifted. It was a tree overhanging the barn/outdoor garage.
The brownies made their way up to the garage and to the treetrying to get up there from the window. One of them, the smallest, jumped onto my stomach and turned into the cat, for whom I distended my stomach so she could lie there when I was standing up. The adult brownie jumped down to the groundI was on a ladder up by the window, which was a long way down. But the baby, the cat on my stomach, couldn't. She ended up jumping across. I looked to where she was goingit looked like a very large steel vat, almost as high as the garage. I moved the ladder across to get her out, but she wasn't there. Then I noticed that there were two other ones. I checked those out, too. Not there. After a while it occurred to me that the brownies had disappeared because of the cat. She was on my stomach once more. I stopped looking.
Because of my trouble with the brownies, I took off on a road trip with someone who looked like Jenny of the SES. Sombre, and yet showing enough warm moments that you knew that she didn't dislike you. Maybe it was Jenny. At any rate, we were in her car and driving along while I looked out of the window and basically just bludged off of her.
Where were we going? I don't know. We went to a circus ground in the middle of nowhere and looked at what they were doing. I saw a Hasbro advertisement on one of the tents, and figured that they thought children might see it. Or something. We drove away, going into the suburbs. It was Fred Hoyle's place, and I was interested. There was a park we went up to and close to it was Hoyle's house. I clicked on a link on his house to find out more information. We had to pay to get in, so we decided against it.
Sandwiched between the park and the house was a small building and a sign with a name on it, like they do with the train stations. A station of some sort. As soon as we stopped outside it to have a look some cops turned up. They were gunning for me, although I had no idea of why they wanted me. I still had the cat on my stomach. In the dream. They kept asking me questions to which I remained baffled and exchanged looks with "Jenny". She disappeared and I got control of the car. It was night-time and I drove it along the streets, not knowing what gear I was in or how to manouevre it. Then I figured out I was in the States and driving on the wrong side! Ack! Near collisions.
