Summary: This story is being written as a wandering wren and possibly a fic tree. These are similiar to round robins, but instead of having a rotation structure, these writing devices are more or less, jump when you please. In other words, if a segment post inspires you to write, you write, and if two folks write the same part, a second story develops from the branch. I've got one going for Monk, now I thought I'd add Adventure Inc. and there will be more, the quiet fandoms, probably first, but as things get rolling, who knows. Anyone who wants to start a wren of their own, roll it on out, themore the merrier...and what better way to shake a list out of its stupor than to have stories pouring in, hey?
that said, I'm posting the wrens I come up with to fandom interested lists first, then to my multiple fandom lists so I can get a wider range of authors. I will disperse the parts throughout the lists as they come in, but that sometimes takes time, so the wrens are being posted to the archive (URL in sig) as parts come in so you can check there for updates if you would like at any time.
Oh, and finally. You don't have to wait for someone to post before you send a second post. If a second bit hits you after you have posted, feel free to add your additional part. (This started out as a play, which I can't find the disks to. I'm looking, though. The basic premise /began/ the RedDwarfAU game)
Basic Plot:
In an alternate universe, the crew has just died from a radiation leak. Holly and Kryten (who has been on RD since the beginning) have tried to upload Rimmer to hologram status to figure out exactly what went wrong, but have only succeeded in corrupting his files, and merging his files with those of Holly and Kochanski. Rimmer now has his personality, Holly's intelligence and Kochanski's body. (And probabally some of her memories...) Kryten blames himself, and he couldn't be more wrong. He turns himself off leaving Rimmer to "run" the ship with the aid of the skutters.
3 Million Years Later...
Part of his files suffering from computer senility, Rimmer lets Lister out of stasis. Rimmer is suffering, badly, from the virus that corrupted/merged her files, and is desperate for help. Lister is a little too obsessed with the fact that the smeggiest man on the ship seems to look a lot like his old, and apparently dead, flame. Plus there's the pesky little problem of something being in the hold...

Summary: Background: One year previously, in the events of the movie Stargate, Colonel Jack O'Neill led a team through the Stargate to the planet Abydos. After killing the System Lord Ra by rigging a nuclear bomb onto his ship as it left Abydos, O'Neill returned to Earth with two survivors of his team, leaving behind Dr. Daniel Jackson, who remained with his new love Sha're and her brother Skaara.
In the present, Apophis and his Jaffa come through the Stargate, killing several people and kidnapping a female airman. Soon after this event, Jack O'Neill is recalled to Cheyenne Mountain by Major General George Hammond. He is questioned, along with his former teammates Ferretti and Kawalsky, about the events leading up to their return to Earth from Abydos. When they refuse to reveal anything other than what is in their reports, General Hammond chooses to send a nuclear bomb through the Stargate to Abydos, believing that the aliens could only have come from Abydos and hoping to destroy whoever came through.
With this threat hanging over his head, O'Neill reveals that he had lied about using the bomb to destroy Abydos. He admits that while the alien Ra was destroyed, the people of Abydos are still alive and living in freedom, with Dr. Daniel Jackson living among them. After talking to his superiors, Hammond allows O'Neill to send a tissue box through the Stargate. When the box is returned with "Thanks. Send More," scribbled on it, proving that Jackson is alive and well, O'Neill is recalled to active duty, regains his rank of Colonel and is given permission to take a team through the Stargate to Abydos to investigate the alien invaders.

ooc: Just because my brain decided to take a wild hike Friday night while I was at work. So this is what came of it. The story so far: The green glowy mushrooms are invading. Well, we don't know this for sure. Drug dealers are slicing up the aliens drying them and selling them off for the high. Well, we don't know this for sure. Dana, a young guy affected by the Lush interrupts Jack and Owen in a back alley trying to look inconspicuous, while watching a known Lush outlet. We know this for sure. Now, Dana is locked in Torchwood cells and Jack is disturbed by the telepathic image of giant green glowing mushrooms, which really anyone would be. Owen is on the way to Jack's office, whether to get Jack to finish the blowjob or to discuss Dana, is unclear. So if you are confused, don't worry, everyone is. Oh and we are missing a character named Sam who was last seen in the embrace of one of the drug dealers.

Summary: Summary to begin: The only background I have for this story so far is this: Benny, Ray #1, and Dief are undercover in New York for a drug deal or perhaps something more beyond that or something else, if some one has a better idea. The only stipulation I would like to put into place is that Benny and Ray #1 are together and that the main three (Benny, Ray #1, and Dief) survive whatever comes.
