Is it really such a sin? by depeche_girl

"Is it really such a sin?

'Cause if it is, then I'll give in

I can't live without your love

(Dream Attack/New Order)

It is really such a sin?

For me to be in love with my older brother, Frasier?

Perhaps it is.

But it has never felt abominable at all.

People say that love can overcome anything.

As a psychiatrist, I may have heard that more than others.

Yet, nothing stops me from loving him.

His voice, his personality, his warmth.

The gentle pats on the back, the hugs, the kisses.

Even his lips were unbelievably soft.

His gentle caresses when I am not feeling well.

I can't stop loving him.

I don't care if people say it's a sin.

Nobody's been hurt by it.

Ordinarily, as a psychiatrist, I may detest such relationships.

But I wonder sometimes why I allow myself in a relationship like this.

It makes me shudder a bit to think about it in terms of other people.

Yet with Frasier, it has never seemed sinful or wrong at all.
