Summary: The overall story--
Colby and David, who are casual lovers, talk Don into joining them ("A Week in Watson"). Don enjoys the fun immensely, though not without serious angst over what it might mean. Some time later, Charlie finds out and wants to understand the appeal, and manages to convince David to demonstrate ("Balancing the Equation"). Charlie then continues the relationship with David ("The New Gravity"). Don and Charlie clash over a tryst with David, who then persuades them to try a threesome ("The Transitive Property"). Don considers David "lost" to Charlie thereafter and becomes more serious in his relationship with Colby ("Wrestling"). Charlie and Colby get kidnapped together and fall in love ("It Changes Everything"). So Don loses Colby to Charlie as well and feels utterly adrift. He falls into depression and self-destructive behavior but is rescued by Will (OMC) and forms a lasting relationship with him ("Looking for Love"). After this point, Charlie/Colby and Don/Will are together for good and the remaining stories are about their lives as they grow closer, deal with the other's past and families, and build a future together.
