I wanted to take the opportunity to request something that there should be more of in this fandom (and in any fandom, I'm an equal opportunity post-ep fan "g"), post-ep fic. I don't really care which episode, though there are some great angsty ones like Soul Beneficiary which I just saw for the first time. Anyway, the fic can be hurt/comfort, first time, whatever. I would just like to see some more episode related fics. Pretty pretty please with a chocolate covered Bob (or Harry). (dammit.....now I'm hungry)
we need stories with daisy duke in them, str8, lez, kissing cousins you name it. anything goes. except with roscoe and boss hogg.
Trouble Writes....How about a crossover of E:FC (Earth: Final Conflict) and Firefly?
It can be a drama, but I would prefer a humor.
Drabbles, scenes, or an entire novel length story. Doesn't matter, I would love to see what you come up with.
Just to get your juices flowing, an interesting corolation between the two is the word Companion:
Companions in E:FC are Taelons, aliens. They are part of a group of energy beings bound by a central mind like the internet, they speak with large words for english is not their native tongue thus use more than basic terms.
In Firefly universe, they are whores, high class call girls and boys. They get to pic and choose their clients, and they take very good care of themselves. A ship can go almost no where with-out one on their roster.
So get typing me little winged monkeys, type my pretties, TYPE!!!
Eli/Jordan: Jordan comes knocking in the early hours, with a confession. He wants Eli to be a partner in more than just an official way, but also as his lifepartner

How would the crew react if they found out that Simon was only three years older than River. His age was fabricated on the wave sent out about them because their parents thought it would keep them safer than acknowledging that both were young teenagers. Now imagine if the truth came out after Simon became involved with someone on the ship or if you think of this as a mpreg universe got pregnant? Besides Mal and Sheppard who do you think would take the news the hardest and be the angriest at not knowing the truth? How does the truth come out?
I would love to see the answer to this and it would be a huge bonus if a crossover between the least likely show or book could be added.
This bunnie was inspired by 'Dual Worlds' by betsanne.

After the war Harry fled the wizard world and created for himself a new life and a new name, Daniel Jackson. In time he found someone who lived him, Jack O'Neill. (The General and the Space Monkey are just perfect together. So don't you dare break them up)
Now for some odd reason, i.e. you have to think it up, Harry/Daniel is forced to return to the wizard world. (If the wizard world know Daniel is really Harry is up to you)
Now the problems don't really begin until the wizard community learns that Jack and Daniel are a couple. You see the wizard community is not as forgiving as the Muggle world when it comes to homosexual couples.
So what is going to happen?

Y'all don't know this, but I'm from San Diego, CA. Today, we had our Gay Pride parade and festival. Personally, I love the whole thing, but mostly I love the weeks that lead up to the parade. I live in a gay neighborhood, but most of the year the comfort level in my neighborhood is only marginally better than in the rest of the city. During the weeks before and on Gay Pride day, I feel alive and normal in a way that I don't the rest of the year.
What do I mean, you ask? I mean that during this time, I can do simple things others take for granted. While standing on a busy street corner, I can lean over and chastely kiss my partner on the lips and hear a sigh or a "How sweet," instead of shocked gasps or rude comments. It's nice to just hold my partner's hand in public without worrying if some jerk is going to make an issue out of it.
What am I getting at? Well, I would like to issue a challenge:
Using fandom or original characters, write a story that explores how your characters respond to attending a Gay Pride Parade or Festival.
Feel free to include the weeks leading up to Gay Pride. Feel free to include whatever you want. As possible themes, may I suggest:
1) Your character has just come out of the closet and this is the first Gay Pride they are attending;
2) Your character uses the approaching Gay Pride festivities to come out to friends, family, etc.;
3) Something similar to my experience I described above; or
4) Your character goes to Gay Pride and hooks up with some delicious bit while he/she's there.
For those who have never been, any gay parade outside of San Francisco is going to conjure images similar to those of any small local parade such as, a few uncomplicated floats, a couple marching bands, several local politicians all wearing fake smiles, people carrying banners that represent groups, associations or local businesses and, at least, one motorcycle club.
There are a few things seen at Gay Pride that are not seen at most local parades such as, an awesome amount of rainbows, men and women decked out in S&M leather, drag queens and young men dancing either on a float or on the street wearing only a thong or other form of small brief.
The atmosphere at Gay Pride is one of acceptance. The mood is light. Everybody's smiling and laughing. You see a lot of couples holding hands or with their arms around each other. You see a lot of alternative relationships like threesomes or dom/sub plays. In recent years, you see a lot more families - Two men or two women with kids.
