Here's an idea for an interesting story:

Let's say that the Backstep has figured out that Disaster Z was caused by Event X, so they send Frank back to prevent X from occurring. But X was caused by Event Y, and somehow, the Backstep prevented Y from occurring (just like the backstep prevented his team from winning). The result is that Frank appears to be lying, because X is not longer even a remote possibility!

This is similar to what happened in the "Russian spy working as the NSA programmer" episode. Because of Frank's interference, they blew up the office hours earlier than they did originally. But there, Frank was able to figure out that the change resulted from his interference. Imagine if things happened differently, and he was *not* able to figure out why?!

Cannedebonbon drew a beautiful picture of Spock in a geisha costume http://cannedebonbon.livejournal.com/112275.html. We both agree that this would make a wonderful story. Historically, men were the original geisha's and I would like to see a fic where Spock, was perhaps stolen as a child from his prominent family and sold to a geisha house in another province. James Kirk is captain of the Enterprise, a western ship on an exploratory mission to open trade with Japan.

What I'd like:

• Bottom Spock, please, with lots of angst and some h/c sprinkled in.
• Geisha's are entertainers, not whores. I would like to see Jim misunderstand the roll of a geisha and Spock sets him straight.
• Sarek is the minister/lord chosen to facilitate the trade agreement and hires Spock (unknowing that he's the son that was kidnapped from him years ago) the most prominent geisha in the land.
• Spock's parentage is discovered and in order to save his families honor, he leaves with his lover (Kirk) to go back to the west. With homosexuality bringing a death sentence in Europe, he continues to dress and act geisha. None of the crew (except for McCoy) know that he's a male.

*Bonus for Sybok (Sarek's older son from a previous marriage) being behind the kidnapping plot to ensure his place as heir and in revenge for Sarek setting aside his mother in favor of Amanda, a western woman that was the sole survivor of a shipwreck.

*Bonus for Kirk trying to seduce his geisha and winds up falling in love. **Double bonus for the feeling being mutual.

*Bonus for it to be illegal for Spock to handle weapons, but surprising his aggressors/assassins with martial arts (neck pinch?)

*Bonus for McCoy finding out Spock is male from having to give him medical aid. How surprised his is, is up to you.

*Bonus for a touching and emotional scene between father and son at their reunion and again at their parting.

That's what I'm hoping for, but I'll be just as happy with any kind of Geisha Spock fic. I know writing is hard work, but making it historical is even harder, so however this comes out, the author will have earned a lifetime of virtual hugs from me. :)

So,now there are two suspects left on that list whose names happen to be Katherine Mayfair(who might had done it out of losing Mike to Susan)and Nick Bolen(who might had done it out of getting rejected by Julie after an affair that he had with her)and I bet that we would all like to know who had tried to kill poor Julie and not finish the job.

Actually, this challenge started on a list for another fandom, but it was so interesting that I just had to bring it over here.
The challenge is to write a fic in which you give the character(s) your own injuries.
The injury doesn't have to be life-threatening or even severe.  It could simply be a splinter.  Long or short, funny or angsty, it doesn't matter.

Summary: [Little wing writes]  This came as a plot bunny to me the other night at work, and in the fun and interest of challenges i thought that maybe I'd share and see who takes it up a flies with it. Also I got into the spirit thanks be to Aimless.
So in the same spirit as her challenge(one that I hope to see fic from people we don't naormally) I'm gonna try my hand at it.
The challenge is to explain why Mac decided to learn selfdefense and doesn't like or won't really let anyone defend her. In one ep(Search for Arthur I think) she mentions that her father was the last man to defend her honour and she was 12. So what happened that caused that to happen?
Sorry if that's as clear as mud, made sence when I thought about it, I'm not sure I said it right. But anyhoo, lurkers please come and play. We really do want to hear from Y'all!

In todays AS&J ep (Girl In BoxCar #3) Heyes and Curry get split up and Curry spends a lot of time on the road alone with a lovely blond, in one scene they are
bedding down in a boxcar, the girl can't get comfortable, claiming to be cold and plasters herself against our hero. Curry is steadfast the gentleman, no moves made, no apparent intimacy at all...until the final bit where Kid is putting the girl on the train.  The scene is a sizzling liplock before he steps back to Heyes.

My challenge is... they get back to the hotel room that heyes and curry shared, heyes reveals his jealous side. Curry blows him off...Heyes reacts to this
with....what words....actions....aggression. Curry...denies....until he submits? Or just plain turns the tables and takes the aggressive side, pinning heyes to the bed and shows him just exactly who has the claim of his heart....You decide.
