That's what you get when McVey mentions the list on chat <g>
Everyone's ears perked up: 'S/H list? Where?'

Hi, my name is Lianne, and I am a slash slut. I write
(Voyager, Sentinel, Pros, Once a Thief, X-Files, War of the
Worlds, Hercules, La Femme Nikita, Houston Knights, and more. And
more to come, since I'm working on a really long Stargate
story/novel), and read just about *anything*.

It's been a *long* time since I saw S&H, and I would dearly love
to get my hands on tapes (I can trade Once a Thief if you're a
Nick Lea fan, or Cold Squad for Peter Wingfield fans).
Unfortunately, none of the stations in my area (Ontario, Canada)
show it.

I think I've read all the S/H stories on the net, and I'm waiting
breathlessly for the next chapter of Flamingo's ongoing novel.

Ummm. That's about it.

Lianne

Oooookay. Well, it's not exactly an unusual story.

My first exposure to slash came about three years ago (I'm 30, so
I guess I'm a bit of a late-slash-bloomer). I was enjoying this
new show, The Sentinel, and we'd just gotten the internet at work
so I did a little search. One of the sites I found was the
Sentinel Slash archive.

Ick, I thought. Last time I looked at slash for about a year.

Then I came across the big Star Trek fanfiction archives and
started going through them. First the crossovers, then the gen,
then the adult. working my way through the adult stories, mainly
reading P/T, I came across Alpha Centauri, by Nyani-Ishi Martin,
which is a P/T/K. Neat. I read the stories by her in the
archives, then went hunting for more. That led me to R'rain
Prior's Star Trek Slash Archive. Once there, I read all the P/T/K
stories she had. Then, in desperation, I started reading P/K.
This time, I didn't think ick. Being into manga, I'd been exposed
to more and more m/m stories in the meantime.

After P/K came C/P. Then back to the Sentinel. Then Due South.
Then anything else I could get my grubby little fingers on,
whether I'd seen the show or not <g>. I joined mailing lists
right and left. Currently, I get about 200-300 e-mails a day.

It's gotten to the point that I see a new show, I look to see who
might possibly be slashable. Once the slash filter went on, I
can't get it off. Even saw slash potential in Prince of Egypt.

Of course, there's a lot of bad fanfic out there, and I hit a
fair bit of it as well. As a result, about a year and a half ago
I deleted one and said 'Sheesh, I could do better than *that*'.
Of course, then I had to prove it. First Star Trek, then
Sentinel, and now I write Once a Thief, War of the Worlds,
Professionals, Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, La Femme Nikita,
X-Files, Independence Day (the movie), Viper, Houston Knights,
Star Wars, and PSI Factor.

Currently, I'm working on a Star Wars serial (Luke/Lando), A Once
a Thief/Eroica crossover serial, a massive multi- fandom
crossover that is X-Files/War of the Worlds at the core, a sequel
to my first Tuvok/Paris story and a novel- length Stargate SG-1
story.

Life? What life?

Currently, I'm fighting the urge to start writing new pairings
(like S/H) until I've cleaned my plate a little, so to speak.

Now, my slash life is fairly separate from everyday life. I have
slash friends and activities (hiya Wolf!) and I have the other
part of my life, even though I put my real name on my fanfic. The
only time, so far, that the two parts of my life have crossed
over was when I got an e-mail from a former co-worker who'd come
across my web- page and wanted to know 'what the heck?'. He just
wanted to make sure it *was* me and not someone else with the
same name. He says it's a weird hobby, but hey, if it turns my
crank...
