You rotter - you know I'm trying to finish that story and I have
to clean out the rabbit hutch and I'm a sick person too! Okay I
give in ...

I'm from Cornwall in the southwestern-most corner of Britain (the
opposite end to Solo). I was a brand new teacher when S&H first
aired in the UK in '76. It was not cool for a teacher to be a TV
fan of anything but I had already been drawn in back in the days
of Laramie. I saw an advert for S&H in the Radio Times and
watched it right from the start. By the time Shootout came along
I was audio-taping all the episodes, but without video or zines
or fandom, it was very hard to keep the enthusiasm alive. I wrote
a few scribbles in a notebook, but didn't share it with anyone.

Then S&H re-ran on a cable channel here in '96 so I rushed out
and got cable installed, videoed every episode, then found fandom
on the internet, and zines and slash ... started to organize for
off-line fans a bit in the UK and here we are.

I'm just curious to see why a cop show from the '70s
has so many fans from all over the world.

It's the love, m'dear. Anyone can see they love each other :-)

It was like finally coming home after a very long search for I
didn't know what, and I am *so* happy to be here.

Thanks, VP-sisters.
