WARNINGS for Like Water, Like Breath, Like Rain

During his investigation of a new case, Donald suffers a violent sexual assault. I take seriously handling themes like these with care, and balancing hurt with comfort. Some of the violence is graphic, his injuries are significant, and much of the story deals with Donald and Timothy coping with the aftermath of the rape. I hope readers trust me that it will ultimately be a good and rewarding journey, but I want to be sure anyone who has an aversion to this theme or a sensitivity to this issue has the chance to choose whether or not to read on.
