Summary:

It began with a murder. Ichabod Crane was sent from New York City to Sleepy Hollow to solve the murder and prove it was not a ghost or demon but a man behind the crimes. What he did find changed everything, especially him. He escaped the Hollow with his life, but not the life he knew before. Dark dreams forced his return and what he found the second time led him to rediscover himself, his spirit, his soul, his heart. The love he found there in the shadows of the forest, in the darkness of the grave brought danger, adventure, and completion. The Western Woods are a haunted place however and very little rests easily there. The forces of evil live and breathe and wait for a doorway back into the world of the living.

This arc begins with Ichabod's return to the Hollow after the events of the movie "Tim Burton's Sleepy Hollow". It chronicles his growing love for the Hessian Horseman and their battle to be together against all odds. They weather Katerina's jealousy, the return of an old and evil foe, and gain unexpected allies, Wolverine and Gambit of the X-Men for a final battle against the descendant of the first Lady Van Tassell and her demonic allies.

Each story is stand alone as far as it goes, but they all assume that the reader has already seen the movie and is familiar with the characters.

In such a hopeless time, new love manages to grow but can it survive tragedy and turmoil long enough to reach fruition. This could be Au but it isn't really, it is inserted into that time frame slightly prior to the Age of Apocolypse when there were so many time lines and spin offs running that there were a dozen plausible universes. Also, the Warren Worthington the III (Angel) That I use in this fic is the one from the movies, where the other characters are from the comic including the much younger looking Magneto who just showed up one day. ^.^ The reason I swapped Angel out with the comic version is that the one in the movie comes across as sweet and shy and the comic angel can be an arrogant prick which is not what I wanted here.
