Ace Attorney [0] The game takes place in an urban city set in 2016 and later; for the Japanese versions, this city is somewhere in Japan, while the North American and European localization places the games in Los Angeles, California. Localization differences will sometimes reflect the differences between these societies, for example the side of a car the driver's wheel is on.
Aion [1] When the god Aion created the world of Atreia, he created the draken—powerful dragon-like beasts tasked with safeguarding the humans; performing Aion's will on the planet; and protecting the Tower of Eternity, Aion's physical presence on Atreia
Final Fantasy 8 [37] Politics, magic, technology and pure human emotion fuel a quest for answers in this installment of the wildly popular Final Fantasy series. The hero of the story is Squall Leonhart, a somewhat troubled teen who is a student at the military academy known as Balamb Garden. As the game starts, the antisocial and introverted Squall is preparing to take the final steps to becoming a member of Garden's elite mercenary force called SeeD. During the required field exam, Squall's group (including his hated rival, the brash and arrogant Seifer Almasy) uncovers the beginnings of a plot by the nation of Galbadia, a global superpower with a tyrannical ruler. Squall and his comrades, Selphie Tilmitt and Zell Dincht, are SeeDs less than a day before being assigned to a mission in the Galbadian-occupied country of Timber. It is there that Squall meets Rinoa Heartilly, the young and passionate leader of a rebel faction. It is soon discovered that Galbadian President-for-Life Vinzer Deling has allied himself with the mysterious Sorceress Edea, and it falls to Squall and SeeD to stop them. Squall must overcome the pain of his past if he is to win the day--and Rinoa's heart.
Final Fantasy 10 [2] Tidus is a start athlete in his city. He is famous, has all the ladies, and simply loves his life. However...
Gabriel Knight [4] Gabriel Knight, dashing skirt chaser-cum-fiction writer, joins forces with his sarcastic Asian sidekick, Grace, and balding law inforcement pal, Detective Mosely, to learn more about the voodoo-related crimes plaguing New Orleans, in efforts to inspire his latest novel. Little does he know what he's getting into, as Gabriel will be anything but a commonplace bookstore owner by the time the game is over
Gabriel Knight: The Beast Within [2] The storyline weaves together werewolf mythology and Bavarian history with sexual intrigue and businessmen's quest for their primal roots. The game's two lead characters are Gabriel Knight – the seemingly less-than-bright but smart-as-a-fox mystery writer and bookstore owner – and Grace Nakimura, his less-than-trusting assistant. Knight has inherited a castle in a small German village and the title of Schattenjäger ("shadow hunter" in German) that comes with it. It has been a year since the vodoo murders case (The sins of the fathers) and the local villagers implore him to investigate the mysterious death of a little girl – caused, they believe, by a werewolf. Knight and Nakimura's search for clues takes them to Munich, King Ludwig II's famous Neuschwanstein Castle, Altötting and Bavaria's forested countryside. Their efforts lead them to uncover the truth about King Ludwig's mysterious death and discover a lost Richard Wagner opera,
Matrix Online [1] The player assume the role of a redpill, a human who was formerly trapped inside the Matrix. When creating a new character, the player is given the choice of taking a blue pill that will return them to their former life (quit the game) or a red pill, which will free their minds from the Matrix. Characters who are unaware of the fact that they are in the simulation are often referred to as "bluepills" because they have either taken the blue pill or have not been given the choice yet. People who are aware of the simulation (players) are referred to as "redpills" because they have taken the red pill (or, in very rare cases, when a character has self-substantiated out of the Matrix on their own). Following the choice between the two pills, the player is then taken through a basic tutorial of the game's mechanics, including mission interaction and the combat system. After the tutorial, they are then free to roam the Mega City (the city that the entire Matrix story is set in).
Marvel Heroes [1]

Marvel Heroes is a game set in the Marvel Universe for 2 to 4 players, with plenty of opportunities for cooperation and competition between the Super Heroes controlled by the players. Players take control of a group of Super Heroes (X-Men, Fantastic Four, Marvel Knights or the Avengers) as well as the Nemesis of one of the other player's group (Magneto, Dr. Doom, Kingpin or Red Skull). During the game, each player finds allies, enemies and power-ups, and face the menacing Super Villains controlled by the other players.

Mass Effect [2] Mass Effect takes place in the year 2183, with the player, assuming the role of an elite human soldier named Commander Shepard, setting out to explore the Galaxy on a starship, the SSV Normandy. The titular mass effect is a form of inertia-suppressing technology, allowing faster-than-light travel.
Mass Effect 2 [1] Set within the Milky Way galaxy during the 22nd century, the game follows Commander Shepard, an elite human soldier who must recruit and gain the loyalty of a diverse team in order to defeat an insect-like species called the Collectors in a suicide mission.
Mega Man [5]

Mega Man's role in the original story aka the classic series, was to battle the forces of the mad scientist Dr. Wily and his ever-growing army of robots, and must stop them from taking over the planet by using their own special abilities against them. Utilizing his special Mega Buster arm cannon, and his ability to copy a defeated robot's coding, Mega Man must travel the world and traverse harsh environments in order to bring Wily's menace to an end. With the help of his good-hearted creator Dr. Light and his assorted robotic companions, Mega Man's eventual goal is to one day achieve "everlasting peace".

Metal Gear Solid [3]

Metal Gear Solid's story centers on Solid Snake, a retired soldier who infiltrates a nuclear weapons disposal facility to neutralize the terrorist threat from FOXHOUND, a renegade special forces unit. He attempts to liberate their two hostages, the head of DARPA and the president of a major arms manufacturer, and stops the terrorists from launching a nuclear strike. Snake also confronts and defeats members of FOXHOUND

Morrowind Elder Scrolls III [0] The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind is an epic, open-ended single-player game where you create and play any kind of character you can imagine. Be the noble hero embarking on an epic quest, or an insidious thief rising to leadership of his guild. Be a malevolent sorcerer developing the ultimate spell of destruction, or a reverent healer searching for the cure to a plague. Your actions define your character, and your gameplay changes and evolves in response to your actions. Confront the assassins' guild, and they take out a contract on you. Impress them, and they try to recruit you instead. No two sagas are the same in the world of Morrowind.

Neverwinter Nights 2 [1] Neverwinter Nights 2 takes place in and around the city of Neverwinter, in the Sword Coast region of Faerûn. The first part of the game is set in the small Sword Coast village of West Harbor, which was the site of a battle between an evil host led an entity known as the "King of Shadows" and the warriors aligned with Neverwinter. The player character's fate is tied to this battle, during which his or her mother was killed. During the campaign, the player has the opportunity to recruit party members to aid in the cause, including the violent dwarf Khelgar and a vocal young tiefling. Antagonists include the King of Shadows, a manipulative Luskan diplomat named Torio, and the warlock Ammon Jerro.
Organization XIII [2] The Organization was originally introduced in Kingdom Hearts Final Mix's unlockable trailer, "Another Side, Another Story [deep dive]", where the Japanese was translated as "the Thirteenth Order", then as the "Organization" in the game Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories where they serve as the main antagonists. The Organization returns as the main antagonists in Kingdom Hearts II where they seek to use the power of Kingdom Hearts to become complete beings
Resident Evil [3] Resident Evil, known as Bio Hazard in Japan, is a survival horror video game by Capcom originally released in 1996
Resident Evil: Code Veronica [1] The game is set three months after the events depicted in Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3 Nemesis. The plot moves away from Raccoon City and onto Rockfort Island, a solitary private isle owned by the Umbrella Corporation, although much of the later portions of the game take place in an Umbrella-owned transport terminal in Antarctica. Rockfort Island houses several facilities including a prison, a military training base, the Ashford family's palace, a private residence and an airport. The Antarctic transport terminal at the end of the game includes several facilities and a residence, including a replica of the mansion's lobby from the original Resident Evil.
Smash TV [1] The theme of the game, borrowing from The Running Man[1][2], involves players competing in a violent game show, set in the then future year of 1999. Moving from one room to the next within the studio/arena, players have to shoot down hordes of enemies as they advance from all sides, while at the same time collecting weapons, power-up items, and assorted bonus prizes until a final show down with the show's host where you are finally granted your prizes, your life, and (logically) your freedom. One of the enemies is fat and is named Mr. Shrapnel who roams aside of the walls of some rooms and after a short period of time he explodes. In the NES version, he is replaced by a giant rolling bomb.
Warcraft [2]

The Warcraft universe is a fictional universe in which a series of games and books published by Blizzard Entertainment are set. Players were first introduced to the world of Azeroth in the original Warcraft: Orcs & Humans. This world exists in an ethereal plane called The Twisting Nether. In this universe's history, inter-world travel is rare, but can be achieved using magical portals. Known worlds include Azeroth, Draenor, Argus, K'aresh, and Xoroth.
