Summary: Another story set in the "Absolute Power" alternate universe from Superman/Batman, which I've been obsessed with since reading it. Clark/Bruce, but the real focus is the relationship between Bruce and the alternate Dick Grayson. I've never been able to get into slash between Batman and his Robins (although Judd Winick has really been pushing my buttons with his incredibly, unbearably slashy Jason Todd running around and bleeding and angsting everywhere...arrrrgggh) so things between Bruce and Dick stay platonic. Platonic does not necessarily mean "not intense," mind you.

Authors Notes: I am not a fan of Clex and yet I have read this story and its sequel three times in the period of two days. I love Bruce/Clark together but this story I felt had enough what I call EOT: Equal Opportunity Time. Basically the writer gives a pairing you’ll agree or like more at least half time in the story and the other half don’t or kind of like, share. Sort of a balanced story which will kind of make you like all parties or at least agreeable. Read Triptych and its sequel to Tierce by Aklani.
Anyway I decided to write something to get me out the funk and write something under 500 words. Inspired by the stories and going with the "What If Bruce/Clark with a young Richard fics?". Her story has Richard around three. Read and if you like this I might try again. 355 Words.

I almost gave up until I did some research into Monte Carlo hotels and found the name of one of the better resorts there. Then I knew it was destiny... :-)

Summary: I'm working on a series of vignettes from the "Absolute Power" alternate world; in this one Bruce and Clark meet for the first time. These fics are likely to be more sweet-natured than the story arc really justifies. I was oddly struck when I read the original stories that--well, aside from everyone else in the world being oppressed and miserable, Clark and Bruce actually seem to be pretty happy with their lives and their family. They've got a loving family and each other and...well, if I can just ignore for a moment the wretched masses huddled around the statue base, I feel like there's a lot of sweet stuff between our boys.

Summary: Batman has a shit night, and Bruce has nothing to say to Superman.
Comment: Lyric excerpts for the scene cuts are from ‘Sweetest Condition’ by Depeche Mode. I think this makes up for the lack of angst on my other piece on Batman. This is somewhat after ‘I know you know’, and well, it seems B is not really avert to the concept of ‘consorting with Superman’, he just has issues. Lots of issues. It will eventually be slash, honest; I’m just testing the waters and cajoling them into it… It never happened to me before, but I had a lot of trouble conveying the right imagery into words because I kept seeing this comic-like. I also had trouble keeping it dialog free, as Supes was dying to say something, but Bruce gave me a rotund ‘no’.
Happy (or not so happy) references to comic-verse, but this remain mostly animated-verse. I had a lot of fun talking with Gotham.

Rating: PG-13 (I guess…)
Summary: Everything happens for a reason. A continuation of ‘Displacement’.
Author’s note: There was a happy ending for this fic, where Clark pulls Bruce back to bed and they had sex as themselves. At the end, Bruce’s protocols were still in place, but he got what he wanted. This ending, of course, couldn’t be. The outline of said ending, and the final sentence of said draft, are the only things I could do before I had to admit there was no such thing as a happy ending for this story. On the other hand, I also got thinking into how Bruce is trying to stop Clark’s major villain but he’s not doing anything to stop, say, The Joker. But that lead to having sex with Joker and Harley, you know, for intel. So I decided I’m never speaking of this again. As an end note, before I got to this fic, all I could think about was a kinky Lex in bed, looking down on Bruce and calling him a whore with a snarl. I think it says a lot about me that I find that a very sexy image.
