Summary: (I know this shounds more like a bunny than a challenge.) Smallville High is having a Rummage Sale to raise money for something, it doesn't matter what it is. Clark asks Lex if he'll donate anything for the sale, and Lex agrees. When Clark comes to collect the item(s), he finds Lex is busy. Lex tells Clark to go ahead and go through the attic to see if he can find something. While Clark is going throught the attic, he knocks over a box. He finds a beaten up teddy bear wrapped in tissue paper, and an open journal belonging to Alexander J. Luthor in the floor. Curious Clark reads parts of the journal. One entry is from Lex's childhood, one from the time of his mother's death (can be before it or after it), one from his teen years, one from right before his banishment to Smallville, and one from a few months before Clark's rummage sale donation request. Clark discovers throught the journal that Lex feels the same way he does, but is afraid to make the first move because he doesn't want to lose Clark's friendship and because the last person who Lex truely loved, and cared for died.
