This form will automatically convert text files to HTML. HTML files will remain as formatted by the author. If you want your story to be formatted identically to the majority of stories in the archive, you must upload it as a text file. The archive software will take care of the rest.
All the fields from Website of Author to the bottom are optional. However, it will be easier for readers to find your story if you categorize your story properly, and it doesn't take long at all.
Remember to check the Category, Warnings, and Pairings menus for all applicable options. Definitions of these terms can be found here. The menus do scroll down to more options, and you can select more than one by holding down the control key.
For best results when uploading a story, save it as plain text without line breaks and put a hard return (a blank line) between paragraphs. Look here for an example of a properly formatted file.
Foreign language letters and accents can not be processed by the archive. If foreign language letters or accents are used in your file, the letter will be deleted in the version of the file rendered by the archive software.
Spell/capitalize the information exactly as you wish it to appear in
the archive.
Please do not include special characters (exclamation points, question
marks, ampersands, etc.) in author names. For security purposes, we cannot
accept these characters.
Please double-check all the information you have included before
submitting!
If previewing is turned on, your story WILL NOT be archived. If you like the preview, just hit the Back button, reselect the file (all your catefory info should still be there), turn previewing off and archiving on, and click Submit.
ALERT
It looks like your browser can't handle file uploads. To double-check, look
below and see whether there's a Browse... button in the
File to upload field. If it's there, great, you can do uploads. If
not, that means that you can't use this to archive your story or to post
it to House Fan Fiction Archive.
However, you can still use the posting interface to post the template
(the part 0) to the list. Then you'll just have to post your story to the
list yourself. The archivists will use the template to archive
your story if you would like it archived, it will just take a little
longer.
